Chocolate Pizza & Hummingbird Bakery Kit from Prezzybox.. ♥

 

Just before Christmas the lovely people from Prezzybox kindly offered to send me a couple of products from their website. I (obviously!) chose the Cupcake Decorating Kit by Hummingbird Bakery and a Crunchy Munchy Gourmet Chocolate Pizza.

The chocolate pizza came in a real cardboard takeaway box and is wonderfully presented with red greaseproof paper. It is 7" wide, has 8 slices, and made from the finest belgian chocolate. I chose the Crunchy Munchy one, which came with white chocolate curls, vanilla fudge pieces and milk chocolate honeycomb balls (yum!) on top of the milk chocolate base. It tastes so good! It also comes in Honeycomb and Marshmallow, Heavenly Honeycomb, Strawberry and Champagne, and Ultimatley Orange. It makes a great alternative gift for anyone and is bound to bring a smile to someones face! They might even give you a slice...

The other product I recieved was the Cupcake Decorating Kit by Hummingbird Bakery which came with a hardback recipe book by the Hummingbird Bakery, and 100 paper cupcake cases. The book comes packed with 60 delicious recipes from the bakery chefs, including loafs, cheesecakes and of course cupcakes, and lots of pretty full colour photographs. And the cupcake cases are a cute shade of pink with the little Hummingbird logo on them, and all presented in a nice box.

Here is my attempt at using the recipe book. I chose to make simple vanilla cupcakes for Christmas. The recipe for something so simple was very different to my usual recipe, mainly because it hardly included any butter in it, and used plain flour instead of self raising. This meant that the mixture was rather thick and not as fluffy as usual, but after a lot of worrying they turned out looking lovely and golden and tasting good.
