I won this Maybelline 24 Hour Color Tattoo product from the Maybelline Facebook page and received it last week. I was very excited to be one of the first to try it out as they had only just been released when I got it! Unfortunatley, I haven't had a suitable opportunity to wear it yet. But here it is, and a swatch.
The packaging is kind of upside down, as the lid is actually on the other side of the pot. The pot is made of a thick transparent glass, with the product visible, and it has a plastic black lid.
The colour I received is called Turquoise Forever (shade 20) , which seems to be named differently as Tenacious Teal in the USA. After doing a bit of research, the USA also have 3 additional shades which won't be available in the UK (Fierce and Tangy Orange, Pomengranate Punk Pink, and Edgy Emerald Green).
As you can see the colour is a gorgeous, intense bright turquoise blue, like a paradise island ocean. It has a slight shimmering sheen, but not 'sparkly'. This is a high impact product, so it would look great for a night out, but I probably won't be using it for everyday wear. But I would love to try out some of the other shades now too!
To use, Maybelline recommends: apply with fingertips, sweep all over eye from inner corner and work outwards. For added drama, darken as desired.
The texture of the eyeshadow is a creamy gel formula, which is blendable. It glides on easily, and apparently will not crease. Maybelline claims it keeps a vibrant colour up for to 24 hours without fading, thanks to their advanced ink technology.
These are now available for £4.99 from Boots, and they are currently on 3 for 2
