I recently won a Twitter competition by InStyle, and the prize was a bottle of Giorgio Armani Fluid Sheer. InsStyle voted it the ‘Best Skin Illuminator 2009.’ It comes in 10 different colours, and I received it in shade #11 - Amber.
The Fluid came in a black cardboard box, with the logo and text embossed onto it. The 30ml bottle is made of glass, with a large black plastic lid, also embossed with the brand name.
It came with a brief information/instruction sheet:
Fluid sheer dresses skin in an illuminating veil of radiance. This unique, translucent formula is available in a range of versatile hues including makeup base shades, correcting shades, and radiance boosting shades. Blend your favorite fluid sheer with foundation to add radiance, polish and sculpting definition to your complexion. Or use it alone as a makeup base. Suitable for all skin types.
On first look at it through the glass, it looked like a dark toned matte foundation, which I though was never going to suit my skin tone. After using the pump-action lid to dispense a small amount of product onto my hand, I noticed that it actually is a bronze, shimmering liquid. This made me even more nervous, as it looked very dark!
After blending it in, the high pigment dispersed and my hand was left rather glowing. I think it looks great as a bronzing liquid, or as an illuminator. The formula of the liquid is very smooth, and although it is a bit thin, it blends in very well, and as it dries it becomes more creamy. It doesn't have any glittery particles either, but it still gives a radiant look.
I used a tiny bit here for this photo, I blended it in with my foundation to give an overall bronzed look. But I have also used it on just my cheeks for a highlighted look instead of blusher. Overall I think it is a great multi-use product, and it is perfect for summer, and adding an instant boost to your complexion.
It retails for £34, and is available from Selfridges.
