This last weekend has been the much celebrated Queen's Diamond Jubilee! There have been many celebrations and events throughout the weekend to mark 60 years of the Queens reign. The events kicked off on Sunday with The Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant, which was an on-water parade of boats from around the UK and Commonwealth. On Monday it was the BBC Jubilee Concert at Buckingham Palace, and then lastly, today they had the Service of Thanksgiving and Carriage Procession at St. Paul's Cathedral.
Seeing as Kate Middleton is now one of the biggest style icons, and I personally am I big fan of her style, I thought I would put together three high street versions of her Jubilee outfits from over the weekend. I love the way she worked red, white, and blue into each outfit over the three days, and looked equally stunning in all outfits.
Sunday
On Sunday the Duchess of Cambridge chose to attend the Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant wearing a gorgeous pleated red dress. Despite the horrible damp weather, she opted to wear the knee length dress without tights or a coat, but with a gleaming smile. The dress is an Alexander McQueen 2011 collection piece, which has also unfortunately been worn by Kim Kardashian and Tulisa. However the Duchess chose to alter the dress to a more demure style, adding sleeves and lengthening the hemline from the original piece. She accessorised with LK Bennett nude heels and a Lock & Co hat. She also had her red box clutch bag altered to remove the skull from the top.
This is my favourite look of hers from the whole weekend, and it is also easy to try yourself. Check out these high street alternatives to get this glamorous Royal look.
Dress: Very, £59 | Brooch: Argos, £9.99 | Bag: Debenhams, £10 | Shoes: Dorothy Perkins, £29.50
Monday
For the Diamond Jubilee concert, held at Buckingham Palace on Monday, Kate opted to wear a last season £150 dress from high street retailer Whistles. The pretty purple and blue silk 'Bella' dress was teamed with a structured black blazer and thin sash waist belt. A simple yet elegant outfit.

If you want to get this look for less, then here are some top picks from the high street that I've put together so you can get a similar style.

Tuesday
For her final Jubilee appearance this morning at the service of thanksgiving at St Paul's Cathedral, Kate pulled off another stunning Alexander McQueen dress. Kate chose the nude-coloured, knee-length lace dress with long sleeves and accessorised with a hat by Jane Taylor. She also once again wore her LK Bennett patent nude heels. She chose simple jewellery to wear with the dress, with just a pair of drop pearl earrings. I like the elegance of this dress, however it is in my opinion just a daytime version of her wedding dress from last year, and today was meant to be Queenies big day!
I love this high street version of Kate's outfit, it is so simple and understated. I think I am definately going to have to invest in some pearl earrings and nude heels!
Dress: Dorothy Perkins, £25 | Earrings: Debenhams, £5 | Bag: ASOS, £18 | Shoes: Dorothy Perkins, £22
Overall, I love all three outfits but my favourite has to be the red Alexander McQueen dress because I love the bold colour and feminine pleats and accessories. Will you be RepliKate-ing any of Kates fabulous fashions this season?

ReplyDelete'RepliKATE' I love that! So punny :P You know I love cheesy puns. Brilliant! As if you didn't like today's dress??? I thought it was the nicest of the three! Followed by the red, then the Whistles on which I thought was a bit frumpy for Kate when the other two are such lovely bold statements.
