New Furniture and My Shabby Chic Bedroom Tour.. ♥

I thought I would do a little post of my bedroom since I've got a few new bits of furniture and had a big tidy up! I've always liked taking pride in the appearance of my bedroom, and when I was a kid I wanted to be an interior designer. I really love DIY projects because I love being creative and showing my imaginative side.

I adore Cath Kidston, and her designs are a big inspiration for me. I try to base my bedroom around a shabby chic/vintage girly theme, decorating using pastel colours and white, and accessorising with vintage teacups, dangling hearts, and cupcakes. I think everything in my bedroom has a personal touch to it, and I enjoy customising things so that it fits in with the rest of the room. Nothing in my bedroom is expensive; the furniture is all Ikea and the accessories and soft furnishings are all from bargain stores or second hand.

My new furniture is the desk, which was £39 from Ikea, and the chest of drawers which was £79 from Ikea. The bed is also from Ikea too! And the bedsheets are from Tesco.

  36. Love all the trinkets and details in the room. Just wondered if there is anything you could do with the TV, as the black colour really stands out on that lovely stand. Have you considered mounting the TV on the wall and decorating the stand so that it is more concealed.

  38. Holy moses! My room has literally the same bed, quilt cover and units lol. Hope you don't mind me asking where the curtains are from? I'm struggling to get curtains that match my room/wallpaper which would be the same as the floral print on the curtains. Thanks!
