I love printed dresses, the cuter the better! I picked up this gorgeous bird print dress off eBay for only £1.30, and it is now one of my favourites. It has a gorgeous cinched waist, which is elasticated so very comfy. And the floaty sleeves are so cute. It's originally from Matalan I think. I find it perfect to wear to work on a boiling hot day, because it's very light and a nice length.
I wore it on Saturday for a quick little shopping trip in the sunshine. It is in fact a bargain outfit costing me not even £5, as the sandals were only £2.80 from Primark! And that fact does not bother me one bit :) My thriftyness is what allows me to go shopping in the first place, and I don't think the dress is at all bad! :)
Dress: Matalan via eBay | Sandals: Primark
Also, I dyed my hair a light brown/dark blonde! It may not look much different, but if you compare it to my very blonde picture in my sidebar, its quite a bit darker. It looks quite blonde still in these pics because the flash highlights my old highlights! But it felt like a massive change for me. I think I will try a couple of shades darker again in a few weeks. Blonde hair is so difficult to maintain, and after 8 years I think it's time for a change.
What do you think of my thirfty outfit and darker hair?

i love the outfit and your hair looks great !!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a bargain! It really suits you :) And your hair is looking lovely too, what colour is it naturally? xx
ReplyDeleteI'm not even sure of my natural hair colour anymore! Lol I always thought it was dark brown but i think its actually quite fair xx
DeleteLove the dress! I have a similar one from New Look that cost about £22 but I would say yours is nicer! I just coloured my hair using Loreal Casting Creme Gloss in Black Cherry (the Cheryl Cole one) and have been a bit disappointed, its only semi-permanent but the red colour seemed to fade really quickly. What do you use to colour yours? x
ReplyDeleteI use any random hair colour thats on special offer, always seems to fade though :( xx
DeleteThe print on the dress is really cute and it's such a bargain! :)

It actually makes me feel so much better when I'm wearing an outfit that was a total bargain than when I'm wearing things that cost a lot! Like you said, thriftiness is what allows us to go out and spend and we're not broke all the time :) I love the print on your dress :)
