As promised, at the weekend I head over the the MK Handmade and Vintage Market in Middleton Hall, thecentre:MK. This is held a few times a year, and the hall is transformed into a large retro market, full of handmade and original vintage pieces. There were many stalls selling gorgeous hand sewn soft furnishings and gifts, a couple of cupcake stalls, and many real vintage clothing and homeware stalls.
My favourite stalls were the vintage homeware stalls, so many pieces of gorgeous china and floral goodies! Everything was very reasonably priced too, although I managed to restrain myself from buying anymore tea cups! I really loved the idea of the custom made tiered cake stands, you got to choose your own mismatched plates and they build it for you! It was such an attractive and appealing event for passers by, everything looked so colourful and interesting.
It was very busy, and I expect it was a very successful event. The stallholders were all so friendly and approachable, and really enthusiastic about their work and the event in general. If you missed this, you will be pleased to hear that the event is back on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th November 2012! It will be the perfect place to pick up Christmas presents, and I'm sure there will be many seasonal handmade gifts.
Here are a few photos of mine from the event:

Here's my Outfit of the Day! I wore an old dress I bought years ago, it's navy blue with white polka dots and pretty red bows. It was wonderful weather at the weekend so I wore sandals too!
