Life in Instagram: February 2018

Okay so this blog post is a little bit late as February now seems like ages ago! But I like to keep up with these Instagram posts as it's nice to look back on every so often to remind myself what I've been up to!

Don't forget to follow me on Instagram for the latest updates: @victoriajane6

I'm so pleased to say that 'doing up' the flat is now finally done! It was fine to begin with to be honest but I wanted to 'prettify' each room and make it more 'me', and the bathroom was the last room to finish off. I'll do a bathroom room tour blog post soon! It's so nice to now be able to have a nice relaxing bath in my bathroom looking just how I wanted it. Although we haven't actually changed any of the suite as it was plain white and fine how it was, I've got new fixtures, fittings and accessories to just freshen it up a bit! I am in love with my white wooden bath rack!

Also.. how exciting that it's now March! After all that crazy snow we had at the beginning of the month, hopefully now that's all behind us. Bring on the summer! To celebrate the arrival of spring I bought some hot cross buns and some pretty flowers 😍

I'm sure none of you have forgot... tomorrow is Mother's Day! We keep things quite low key in my family but of course I will go to see my Mum and bring her some pretty flowers! I received this gorgeous bunch from my local Interflora florist and they are so beautiful! I literally love having fresh flowers around the house and I always like to keep them in a pretty vase to brighten the place up.

I also just wanted to show off my cabinet full of my favourite pretty things! I have a shelf for my Cath Kidston tea set, a shelf for my Pip Studio set, a shelf for my gold accessories, and then one for my copper accessories! 😍

This cute copper and marble print in a frame is my latest bargain purchase, it was only 74p in the Card Factory shop! It's so cute! I also bought the little rubber succulent from M&S for only £6 which comes in a cool little geometric pot.

Also my big news is we've finally booked our summer holiday! I wrote a blog post at the start of this year with my travel hopes for 2018 and at the time I had nothing booked. Well in February I finally made some plans and have some very exciting trips booked! In May Gavin and I are spending a long weekend in The Cotswolds and have booked a gorgeous little cottage to stay in in a beautiful little village. I'm so excited to explore the prettiest place in the UK!

Then in June we're off to Jamaica! I absolutely cannot wait! I wasn't too keen on the idea of going to Jamaica at first, but as Gavin was a travel agent for 15 years he assured me it was nice and safe and once I looked into it I decided it looks amazing! We've booked the Riu hotel in Ocho Rios which is an all inclusive resort on the beach which looks just stunning, I can't wait!

Terri, Charl and I have also booked flights to visit Tereza in Prague in September too! Bloggers on tour! 😂

If you missed my blog post on the M&S flower arranging masterclass I was invited to, check it out! I made these stunning floral arrangements and it's now my new found hobby! Aren't they pretty 😍

Talking of pretty... look at my two fluffy little boys! Although they live with my parents I look after them at my flat sometimes and had them over whilst my parents were away recently. They are such little cuties! If Marshall wasn't such a noisy little furball I'd be tempted to keep them full time!

At the beginning of February I met up with Issy and Lucy at the new Albero Lounge in Bedford. I always think of Bedford as being a bit behind the times as the only 'decent' restaurant in the town centre was a Nandos, but with the new leisure complex that's recently opened, lots of new eateries have opened too!

I loved the decor and atmosphere of Albero Lounge and it was such a nice relaxing place to chill out for lunch. Me and Issy went for their tapas menu where you can get 3 small plates for £9.95, and Lucy got their breakfast, and all three of us loved the food and are excited to go back again! Their drinks menu was also pretty impressive and they offer some yummy mocktails as well as lots of cocktails!

There's also a new opening in Milton Keynes! We finally got a Miller and Carter steakhouse restaurant in MK, and me and Gavin went to try it out one evening! We got a massive sharing steak which was absolutely amazing! I think a whole blog post will be coming soon...
