Last weekend was the big cake sale that I'd booked a few months ago. It was held at my local village summer fete and I wanted to buy a stall so I could integrate a bit more with my local community. It was the first big event I've done, so in preperation I took a day off work to do the baking. I totally overbaked and had loads left over because I literally made hundreds! But it's fine because I sold some afterwards, gave some away at work, and have frozen the rest. It's my nephews Christening in a couple of weeks and I'm doing the cakes so it saves me making more; I can just defrost them! Anyway the day went really well, lots of people picked up my leaflets and business cards, and I made a nice tidy profit! And luckily the weather was kind and it didn't rain all day! So here's a few photos from the day...
I also wanted to show you these adorable personalised cupcake cases from Paper Themes. They are a bespoke stationers and they sell a range of beautiful, luxury wedding stationary. Their products are all stylishly designed to suit any wedding theme, ranging from vintage style to contemporary.
I was sent these cupcake wrapper samples to try out, and they're made from a good quality, sturdy card, and the printed design on each one is perfect. You can personalise them with your names and wedding date, or any occasion! The have an adorable scalloped edge and look beautiful wrapped around delicious cupcakes. My favourite design is 'cream tea', which is printed with pastel blue polka dots and pink rose bouquets. If I was getting married I'd have to have these! They are £12.99 for a pack of 24 so work out at about 54p each, but they would make a wonderful personalised wedding favour, and they do lots more designs; I love the Eat Me one!
