Liz Earle Skin Secrets Book Review

I just wanted to write a brief post about this book Skin Secrets
by Liz Earle. I got it a while ago but I’ve only just recently had a look at it as I’m not really one for books! I didn’t read a single book throughout university. That’s how much I dislike reading. Anyway I quite like this book as its really simply laid out and its nicely sectioned and organised and the information is actually really interesting and helpful.

Liz Earle Skin Secrets

Liz Earle Skin Secrets
She describes which botanical ingredients are best for young skin, which plant oils are the most effective wrinkle removers and why vitamin E is so good for you. The book also emphasises the importance of a holistic approach – what you eat, how you sleep and how you relax are just as important as how you cleanse and detox. She gives a long-term strategy, recommending complementary therapies and supplements that will nourish your skin, as well as recipes and exercise routines to keep your skin healthy and glowing.
If you open the images in a new tab you should be able to zoom in on them to have a little read. I found this section on skin in your twenties particularly interesting (as I’m in my 20’s.. duh) and it tells you about how your skin will be reacting and how to treat it now that it’s matured from being a teenager. She suggests sipping 6 glasses of water throughout the day to keep your skin hydrated and clear.

I loved this nice simple guide on the order of which to do your facial! I was never sure whether it was to exfoliate or cleanse first.. but now I know! I’ve not tried steaming before but after reading about it in this book it sounds like something I should try out.
There’s some top tips on those pesky spots and how to extract them! And also how to treat and prevent acne. Theres tonnes of information in this book on how to look after your skin in the best possible way and it gives you great advice depending on your age and skin type. I think this is an essential book for any Liz Earle skincare fan and I would recommend it would make a great gift.

You can buy the paperback version of Liz Earle Skin Secrets book for £13.59 from Amazon
or the hardback version like I have from Amazon sellers. This was not a PR sample by the way 🙂

For somebody who has suffered with skin problems for over 11 years, some good useful tips here. My skin is improving and is almost there but some good ideas here. Thanks for the post I'll definitely be looking the book up 🙂
