I wanted to do a little end of 2012 post revealing what were my favourite products of the year! I’ve tried out loads of beauty products this year but I wanted to show you the ones I really recommend the most. Firstly I will show you my top cosmetics, and then other general health and beauty products.
Top marks goes to Maybelline for their Fit Me foundation! I love this and it has now become the only foundation I use! I reviewed this in November and I am still so happy with it, and it’s a great price too.
A firm favourite, the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer was something I reviewed all the way back in January and have been using ever since! I find it thick enough to cover up but runny enough not to be cakey. And not bad for only £4!
In October I reviewed this fabulous creme blush from Topshop. This is still my go-to blusher for when I want a hot pink glow! It’s a really girly colour and it lasts really well.
My favourite make up brush has to be the Sigma F80 flat top kabuki brush. I haven’t actually ever reviewed this, dispite using it all year! But it’s really lovely to use and so soft!
Of all the cheap pressed powders I’ve tried, this extremely cheap one by 2True at Superdrug is definitely my favourite. It’s not flaky or dry, it is just perfect for adding a bit of matte powder, and it costs less than £2. I’ve actually been using this for 3+ years now and never done a review on it, but it is perfect for me!
It was a tough choice to pick between this Revlon Lip Butter and my MAC Cockney lipstick, but I use this one more often so it wins! It’s great for adding a pop of colour and is so moisturising, it’s amazing! I reviewed this only at the beginning of December but I will soon need a new one!
I’m not a huge eyeshadow user, but when I do use it, I love nude colours. As I don’t use it often, rather than splashing out on a big brand palette I thought I’d try this one buy MUA. I’ve been using it since October and I use most of the shades, and I find they are quite long lasting and great value for money at only £4 for the palette. I did a full review of it in November and I really recommend it.
This is another more recent try, reviewed in November, but it’s the best beauty product I’ve discovered in a long time! This Giordani Gold Make Up Base from Oriflame is so perfect for using underneath foundation and creates the perfect long lasting, flawless base. I’ve tried a few other primers and none of them work quite like this one.
Something else I haven’t reviewed just because it’s such an everyday product for me. The Maybelline One by One Volum Express mascara is what I like to use daily as I find it gives me the best eyelash results. I have rubbish lashes but I find that the bristles on this brush make the most of the few lashes that I have.
This is something quite new to me, but I love it so I have to show you it! I love lip balms, one of my favourites is the Cherry Cola one they used to sell in Primark! But I haven’t seen it around recently, so my new favourite is this Blackcurrant one from Balmi! It’s a cute little ball shaped pot and it smells just delicious and is so easy to use and moisturising!
This MUA eyebrow kit I reviewed in October and I’m still loving it! It’s such a bargain compared to other brow kits, and the colours are all useable!
I hope you enjoyed this post! What are your top 2012 products? Have you tried any of these?
