Barry M Pink Silver Glitter Nail Polish ♥

Good evening everyone! I got quite a few new followers last night too after the #bbloggers Twitter chat, so welcome! Also to my regular readers, what do you think of the new icons above the page tabs below the header? And also, do you like the new blue date banner with prettier writing? Took me a while to do the html coding but eventually managed it! Phew.
My nails have grown so much lately. It was less than a year ago I suddenly decided to just stop biting my nails. I also used to chew the skin around the nails which just left them looking gross! So I’m quite proud of their condition and length now 🙂
Anyway I just wanted to do a quick blog post showing you my new Barry M nail polish which is called Pink Silver Glitter. It’s got really tiny shimmering particles of glitter, not like some normal large glitter polishes. This means that you only need two coats at the most and you’re good to go! It covers the nail perfectly and it’s wonderfully opaque. Infact, I’ve had mine on now for well over a week, and I’m a little worried about how to remove it! Does anyone have any tips on how to remove glitter polish?!
Also, I’ve just launched a little poll on my Facebook page. Care to take part, or like my page?

Press the nail varnish remover down on the nail for a minute and let it soak in.

I love the blue date banner! The page icons are really cute too- did you draw them? This nail polish is lovely I'm very tempted to get this or the red one! I'm so jealous of your lovely long nails- I just can't seem to stop biting mine! xx

Thanks! I didn't draw them I'm afraid, I kind of borrowed them from a random picture I found on Tumblr! xx

I've got that polish, it's so opaque isnt it! Although I don't find mine to last as long as yours, what top coat do you use please? x

Love this colour! I might need to try this one as its not too in your face! I have the same problem as you had! I bite the skin around my nails, it's a disgusting habit that I really want to stop!

Yeah I love this colour because it's not 'too glittery'! I do kind of miss chewing my nails because its really comforting but my hands looked so gross! x

Soak a cotton wool pad generously with nail polish remover and press over the nail, hold it in place for a couple of minutes and voila! Glitter polish will rub away easily!

  14. January 8, 2013 / 10:09 am

I loved this polish but I hate to remove glittery ones too 🙁

  15. January 8, 2013 / 10:21 am

All I wear is glitter polish and it can be a pain to get off! – I either press the cotton wool onto my fingers for a while to let it soak in, or if it's really stubborn I pour a little nail varnish remover into the lid and sit with my finger in for a couple of minutes, then you can usually just wipe off with cotton wool. 🙂

I love this BarryM glitter polish too. It looks so nice and lasts ages. But I do wish glitter polishes were easier to remove 🙂 I soak the nail with nail polish remover and this helps slightly, but there does seem no easy way.x

I love all Barry M polishes but I have to say this one is particularly beautiful and may have to become part of my collection very soon!!

I found a good acetone nail polish remover does the trick, but is not very kind on the nails. Try instead cutting a cotton pad into quarters (the small round ones) and soaking in your normal remover. Place a quarter on the nail and wrap in a small piece of tin foil to keep in place. 60 seconds normally does the trick, but if you remove the foil and find the polish doesn't slide straight off with the cotton pad re-wrap and leave for a little longer.

    Love Rie xx

Just seen your blog on The Barry M Facebook page! glade i came across it, This is such a gorgeous colour, Lovely blog post (: I love glittery polish and i have found that wrapping the cotton wool and nail polish remover round the nail for a minute or two help break the glitter up!

Your blog is gorgeous! So impressed that you can do HTML coding! I can't work it out at all despite trying!!

Saw this link on the Barry M Facebook page and so glad that I stopped by… Your blog has made me smile 🙂

Like other people are suggesting with glitter polishes, the best thing I have found is to use tin foil. Cut your cotton wool pad into quarters and put some remover on each bit, place that on the nail and wrap in a little section of tin foil. Leave it for a few minutes and it comes right off!

I have just started my nail blog up recently and am loving exploring other people's to see what colours and designs people are trying out. Keep up the great work. x x x
