Things I want to achieve.. ♥

I’m feeling pretty aspirational at the moment since starting my business and also having a job offer (yay!). I have even had a little wedding cake order confirmed after a bride to be adored the samples I made her. This makes me feel sooo happy so I’m determined to make 2013 a good year! So here’s a few little things I’d like to achieve/do soon:

  1. Book a holiday to Cyprus for 2014, or if possible, Autumn 2013! I’ve wanted to visit there for years now but just haven’t had the time/money/someone to go with! With all this horrible cold and snowy weather, it really makes me want to get away! Hopefully I will arrange something by the end of this year 🙂
  2. Lose a stone by June this year. I’m going on a little summer holiday with my parents this year (am I too old for that?! yes…) and I’m pretty much hating my body right now so hopefully I can keep up the gym and sort out some of my excess weight!
  3. Keep up my cake business. I really want to put 100% into my business because it’s something I love doing and it makes me happy. I feel like I am still learning something new everytime I bake so it’s all very enjoyable for me! I’d love to get a proper wedding cake order (not cupcakes), but I really need to improve my skills first! I also want to attend local craft fairs and farmers markets but it’s sometimes hard to find out who organises these things!
  4. Go to more live concerts. I keep regretting not buying tickets to some of my favourite acts when they tour the UK because of lack of organisation! I’d love to get Rihanna tickets this year, but as it will probably be a last minute arrangement I might visit the StubHub website for tickets! I know a lot of people don’t like her, but I think she’s amazing! Such a performer, I love her dancing. I’d also love to see Eminem as I’m borderline obsessed (okay maybe fully obsessed) as I’m thrilled he’s coming to the UK, but why does he make it difficult by going to Scotland and smelly festivals?! Grrr.
  5. Try and maybe find a work placement and be an intern for a few weeks. I’m not really sure about this idea yet though as I might get put off certain jobs if I’m made to make tea all day! I don’t even drink tea, I don’t even know how to make a cuppa! Maybe that should be something on this list haha.
  6. Grow my hair!! After recently discovering hair extensions I wish I could wear them all the time! But they give me a bit of a headache and they take me ages to take out. I don’t know how some girls do it.. what about when you sleep round a boys house?! I think my boyfriend would be creeped out if I took all my hair out before bedtime… So I’d love my hair to grow a bit longer for summer so I can have dreamy beachy waves! 🙂 Hopefully a killer tan too…

Do you have any things you wish to achieve soon?

Nice post! & congrats on the job offer 🙂 you were saying yesterday(?) on Twitter about not getting anything, wish you well with this one 😀

I'd really like to go abroad somewhere this year, just for a couple of days… no where hot just for the cultural aspect 🙂

I also need to get my bum in gear for my Etsy shop as I have so many ideas floating around in my head but just need to put them into practise and get listing!

I'd also like to get my blog out there a bit more, but I don't think this is going to be happening any time soon. How did you manage to get yours more noticed if you don't mind me asking?

    xx

Aw really enjoyed this post, you have some lovely goals to work towards! The hair extensions thing made me laugh too – I only wear them on nights out but my boyfriend often pulls me a funny look when he sees strips of hair coming out of my head hahaha 🙂 xxx.

Hey Victoria so happy for you! Working hard really pays off! I love having goal helps me keep more determined. My Aunty makes wedding cakes, birthday cakes for a living, she has years of experience. Her cakes are super detailed. She has a shop in Knaphill Woking. Called speciality cakes.
she runs workshops once and while, I can let her know if that's something you would like to do.
She goes to lots of wedding fairs, she works so hard. I cam imagine how time consuming it is. As I do art, fashion, creative things are time consuming, but so worth while!! Every season I do her shop window display. Here Is the shop window display I did for Christmas time http://adoramehitabel.blogspot.co.uk/2012/12/window-display-i-done-for-speciality.html soon going to post the spring display I done, super sweet with bird cages.

Oh my gosh, one time during my wild first year university year, I went back to a boys (he sllept on the sofa, no naughties!) Anyway, as I was getting ready for bed I started taking out all my hair extensions and he walked in! Got the shock of his life bless him haha. I've been using the Lee Stafford 'for hair that never grows past a certain length' hair growth syrum, you can buy it in boots for about £7 and it's amazing. My hair is in much better condition and growing quickly in time for the summer 🙂 So I guess try that maybe!

Also, I know you follow my fashion blog but I've recently started a lifestyle one (thanks to you and several others inspiring me!) and I'm documenting my weight loss and fitness towards the summer months approaching 🙂 If you would like to take a look it would be great, I want to feel like people are getting inspired and clubbing together to help each other get the bikini bod we all want!!!

Lovely post! I see Rihanna at Radio1 Hackney Weekend last year and she was amazing so def grab some tickets next time she tours! I'd love Beyonce tickets but have a feeling they are going to be really expensive… I don't mind paying for them, but not when the seats are all the way at the back and she'll look like a dot!

Good luck in achieving your goals! 🙂

Awww, you sound so positive. I'm glad you're feeling better than you did. There's nothing wrong with going on holiday with your parents. I did it when I was about 25. We went to Cornwall and I even took a bucket and spade, I'm sure people thought I'd got learning difficulties but I didn't care because I was having fun! Plus, a holiday with your parents is better than no holiday at all! Good luck achieving your goals and learning to make a brew. Xxx

Cyprus is boring, come and visit the south of Turkey, Antalya, Kas, Marmaris or Bodrum. You'll fall in love with those cities 🙂
