Bodi-Tek Ab-Tek Belt Review ♥

I mentioned as part of my 2014 resolutions blog post that I wanted to lose weight and work hard to tone up. I’ve been doing the best I can to do a bit of exercise a few times a week and eat a little bit more healthily. I’ve also been looking at other ways to tone up, and I was fascinated by this Ab-Tek fitness belt.

Bodi-Tek Ab-Tek Belt Review

This ab toning belt for women designed to create firm, toned abs quickly as you use it as part of a workout. It uses Electronic Muscle Stimulators which give a small level of stimulation to the abdominal muscles. I was pretty scared to try this out, I’m really scared of electric shocks! I managed to get up to the third level of shocks (out of 10 levels), but it’s too powerful for me to do any further! It feels like little tiny pinpoint shocks, but it’s easy to get used to. I’ve been wearing this under my tshirt when I go running, and it’s fairly comfortable and lightweight to wear.

The LCD screen supposedly gives feedback about your programme and intensity, but I couldn’t get to grips with how to use it in a useful way. I’m not completely convinced that this can be used to firm abs, unless you’re a total fitness diva who does hardcore exercise everyday. I’ve not noticed any specific change personally, however, the reviews on the website rate it 4 stars and many people have said they’ve seen results. The belt comes with batteries as well as a case and conductive gel (which feels really cold on my belly!).
Have you ever used Electronic Muscle Stimulators?

I'd be interested to see how you get on with this, I've always been sceptical as to whether or not they work x

I've got a slendertone which I got last yr after winning it in a competition. I have noticed a slight change in my tummy area but I think that could be due to doing ab exercises as well as using the slendertone.
Will be interesting to see how you get on with this one. http://www.joannavictoria.co.uk/

I've heard and seen of these before but don't really fancy using one myself, I think I'd be too scared! Would love to hear how you get on with it longer term.

I've always been tempted by these and I've got a friend who said hers works, but I think I'd be too scared by the electric shocks!
