Chanel Le Volume De Chanel Mascara ♥

I’m usually one for buying cheap beauty products from high street stores, but every so often I like to splurge on a higher end product. Last year I received a free mini mascara sample from Chanel which I had been saving up to use for a ‘special occasion’. I started using it a couple of months ago and I fell in love with it!

I’ve always struggled to find a mascara that holds a curl in my lashes whilst also lengthening and thickening. But ever since using the Chanel Le Volume De Chanel Mascara, I’m not sure I will be buying low end branded mascaras again! I was extremely fortunate to have received this full sized version of the mascara from Click Fragrance recently, and I’ve been using it daily ever since.

I love the sleek glam packaging of the product, which comes in a glossy black box and a smooth mascara wand. The branding isn’t over the top or in your face; just a simple white ‘Chanel’ discreetly in the centre of the product. I love the simplicity of it!

The mascara shade is called is ‘noir’; a very ‘black’ black, which is perfect for creating a showstopping look. The mascara also comes in prune (a deep purple shade) and bleu. What I love most about this mascara is how it holds the lash shape. Once I’ve curled my lashes and applied a coat, the curl remains all day. In fact I usually then apply a second coat, just to get a bit of extra ‘wow factor’. I have terribly fine and sparse lashes, but as you can see from my final photo, this mascara fans out my lashes beautifully!

I’m a bit funny about clumpy lashes, I hate them. I spend ages and ages combing my lashes after applying mascara usually, ensuring that each one is evenly coated. But this mascaras wand has a fine comb which allows each lash to get an even coat, and it works by separating each lash to give a natural but volumous look. And the final bonus point is that it doesn’t smudge or flake, and it stays on all day long (even after my Zumba class!), whilst still remaining sleek.

This is most definitely my favourite mascara ever and although it costs a bit more than my usual bargain beauty products, I actually think it’s worth the money.

Whats your favourite mascara?

Oh this looks gorgeous! It's definitely worth occasionally spending a little more on products that work brilliantly 🙂
