Anyway I now have a nice new sleek white Toshiba Satellite laptop (this one) which I love. My old laptop was a bright red glossy Dell which I got after I graduated in 2011. It lasted me a good 3 years and was still going strong, but I thought it was about time for an update as it was beginning to have issues. And bright red?! Not my colour. I love my new laptop, and although it’s very pretty as it is, I decided I’d like to dress it up a little so it can fit in with my bedroom theme a little bit. I know laptops aren’t exactly meant to be decor, but who says you can’t have a pretty yet practical product?
I was kindly offered a laptop skin from Wrappz, who allow you to create custom phone and laptop stickers to protect and jazz up your products. It was really easy to design the skin, you simply pick your laptop model, or just enter your laptop dimensions to get the skin cut in the correct size. You can then add images and writing to the design, and move your graphics around. Once you’re happy, you simply add it to your cart and check out.. easy! It’s then sent out via first class delivery so you should receive it really quickly.
I was really pleased with my design, which I kept quite simple and just used a wallpaper sample as the pattern. It printed out really nicely and the skin has a glossy sheen. I was a little bit nervous about applying it onto my laptop, but luckily I managed to stick it on by starting at the edge and pushing down with a book to reduce the air bubbles. It’s now nice and neat and smooth… I love it! I also decided to purchase a new little mouse to use with the laptop. I wanted this to be white as well, and luckily I found a white and pink mouse from Microsoft, which I bought from Technoshack for only £3.95 and free postage!
Wrappz are also offering my readers a free personalised phone skin, you just need to pay the postage which is only £2.50! Would make a lovely thoughtful gift for a loved one.. you can use any photo or design. Just use the promo code freeskin at the checkout.
