I had a great start to the year with a night out in Manchester with Terri for New Years Eve, followed by rejoining the gym, attending Zumba class every week, trying out spinning for the first (and last) time, and visiting friends in Birmingham, Stoke and London. Although I feel like I’ve eaten so much over this last weekend so I need to work a bit harder for the next few weeks and watch what I’m eating!
Aside from this I did spend a whole weekend watching Making A Murderer… not a productive two days. I’ve also booked a couple of holidays this month; 4 nights in Ibiza for my oldest friends hen do and then a week away in Malaga with my family in June. Bring on the sunshine!
So here’s a mini run down of my month…
So my posing hasn’t improved in 2016 however I have tried revamping my wardrobe with some new staples. I know this outfit is nothing ground breaking but it makes a change to the style I usually go for. The skirt was only £10 from Primark!
I also spent a whole evening clearing out my cosmetics cupboard and decided to compile all of my much loved Soap and Glory stuff into just one place. I now have three big boxes full of S&G delights!
I had a little day out in the cute town of St Albans recently and it’s such a nice place with some lovely shops. We stopped off for lunch at my favourite Italian restaurant Prezzo and they do the most amazing starters; garlic mushrooms and antipasto.. yummy!
I’ve also been considering giving my hair a make over. I’m a little bit
ashamed to admit… but I’ve never actually been to a hairdressers. Eek!
I trim and colour my hair myself and since cutting back on harsh
chemicals and heat over the last 18 months my hair has grown so long,
but I don’t know what to do with it! I like the idea of getting balayage done, but I’m so scared of going to a hairdressers! Any tips on finding a good one you can trust? Or should I just leave my hair alone altogether?
I recently had my first dining experience at Loch Fyne.. although I was too much of a baby to try anything fishy (I’m such a wimp). The food I had though was amazing, and I literally had the best steak I have ever had! It was cut up but so tender and juicy, it was perfect! I will definitely be going back again!
A few weeks ago Terri and I had a pretty great night out in Stoke which started off with shots of vodka mixed with raspberry cocktail in mini mason jar shot glasses and a bottle of rum. We also learnt how to Snapchat (I think) and didn’t get up until 4pm the next day. Winning.
I think cute little a-line skirts are going to be my favourite thing for the next few months! This outfit is another Primark steal; the collared top was only £7 and the black skirt £10. Although I really need to find some proper over the knee socks that don’t keep rolling down below my knee!
The snow day we had the other weekend required a nice hot chocolate with extra cream and marshmallows in my new favourite Cath Kidston kitten mug. Pink, floral, kittens = could there be a more perfect mug for me?
