It’s only been recently that I’ve started taking better care of my hair by keeping it trimmed and healthy. My hair is very dry naturally and because I often use heat from my tongs it can become quite damaged, especially at the ends.
As a Milton Keynes blogger
, I was recently invited to visit the new Rush Hair
salon opening in Central Milton Keynes for a little trim. It’s a brand new modern salon located in the Intu Shopping Centre which makes it an ideal location for shoppers or those working nearby. Their late night opening hours made it really easy for me to get an appointment after work one weekday.
Rush Salon Milton Keynes
I popped in for a little trim as it had been a couple of months since my last hair cut and I was really impressed by the interior and layout of the salon. It was really sleek and modern inside and I loved the stylish decor!
I’m really happy with the finish the stylist gave me and she followed my request for ‘only an inch’ just perfectly! I always fear my long hair will be chopped off to bob length even if I ask for just a trim. She also finished the cut with some lovely bouncy waves which I think makes the highlights really stand out and is a great style for summer.
ghd Air Dryer
The hairstylist used the ghd Air Hair Dryer after washing my hair which she recommended as it dries hair in half the time and helps to leave hair smooth and sleek. So I was really excited when Best British Bloggers offered me one of the hair dryers to trial for myself and give it a go to see if I could create the same salon finish!
The hair dryer has a powerful 2,100 watt professional-strength motor for super-fast drying as well as ionic technology to reduce frizz. It has lots of snazzy clever features including variable power and temperature controls, a cool shot
button, plus the choice of two nozzles.
After washing my hair with Aussie shampoo and their 3 minute miracle deep conditioner I treated my edamp hair with the ghd heat protect spray which provides a barrier to any heat damage. I then used the ghd Air hair dryer along with a paddle brush which left me with smooth salon-style hair. I finished my hair off with my Babyliss Diamond Waving Wand to give loose, natural looking waves and voila! Salon sleek hair at home.
