Life in Instagram: September 2016 ♥

I love buying stationery and recently though I’d treat myself to some new bits from Paperchase after finding a £5 birthday gift from them in my inbox. I decided to pick a few bits from their amazingly sparkly ‘purrmaid’ range for work. I ordered a plastic drinking cup, a notebook and a clipboard all from the range and I just love the quirky pattern.. so cute!
I also treated myself to a few new bits from the Cath Kidston Highgate Rose range using the gift card that I received from work for my birthday! I now have quite a few bits and pieces but I keep them safely packed away because I’m weird like that and don’t actually want to use them…

If you’re passing a Poundland any time soon, make sure you stop and take a look at their cosmetics section! I’ve found some real bargains recently including these branded items. The Burt’s Bees tinted lipbalm is £6 in M&S, the Max Factor lip pen sticks £7 in Boots, eyeshadow £2.49 in Superdrug, and even Nails Inc in Motcomb Street is usually £11! I also thought I’ try out the ice lolly flavoured Lip Smackers but I’ve not opened them just yet!

I can never resist buying cute homewares and I recently found these gorgeous pieces. The plastic flamingo pitcher and tumbler set was only £3.99 from QD Stores! I don’t usually go in there but I was hunting these out after seeing them online and I’m so glad I found them. Not sure when I will ever use them but it’s such a cute set!
The white wooden tray I actually found in the Card Factory in their gift section for only £4.99 and it’s nice and sturdy! I also bought myself a new picnic hamper and I found this floral beauty in Home Bargains. It’s insulated and it folds down completely flat, and I bought the polka dot plates, napkins, cups and plastic cutlery from Poundland to make up the set.

If you’re looking for a cute pyjama set, look no further than Primark! These two really cute short and vest PJ sets were only £5 each and I just couldn’t resist the cat and anchor patterns!

Primark also have some lovely new Autunm/Winter items in now too. I bought this ribbed stripey top for only £3, the cord skirt for £8, and the suede heeled ankle boots for only £15! My new favourite outfit is under £30!

Also, as of today I have started Slimming World.  I went to my first ever group on Monday but then I needed to go food shopping etc so today has been my first proper day.  I had scrambled egg on toast for breakfast, fruit as a snack, home made tomato and bacon pasta bake for lunch, and jacket potato with beans and Philadephia Light for dinner. Yum!
I’m still getting my head around it a bit but I’ve saved some recipe ideas onto a Pinterest board and find that using the online food diary is really helpful. If you have any experiences with Slimming World or any top tips please leave a comment!
