September was a crazy month for me so I didn’t get round to doing my monthly ‘Life in Instagram’ post, so I’ve squeezed September and October in together! My Instagram recently has mainly been photos of my new home (yawn) so I’ve left those pics out of this post, as I’m sure I’ll have more home blog posts to come soon.
Back at the beginning of September (which feels like forever ago!) I went on holiday to Rhodes with my boyfriend Gavin. Gavin works for TUI so he gets a pretty sweet discount on trips which meant we were able to afford a really lovely holiday!
We went all inclusive to a hotel called Amada Colossos which had just reopened after a huge refurb so it was all nice and new and shiny. Rhodes is absolutely beautiful so I plan to do a blog post with a few photos soon, I’ve just been so busy lately!
Here are a couple of pics of me looking all tanned after spending the whole week sunning myself by the beautiful pool! We also visited some amazing beaches such as this one in Lindos. I absolutely loved wearing my adorable polka dot bikini set by Pour Moi from Simply Beach.
This Shetland Stags bedding set is made from a heavyweight brushed cotton flannel to keep me extra warm and snug in the winter! It’s fully reversible with a checked print underneath, but I love the top side with the checked stag design! They have a beautiful range of winter bed linens including Festive Scandi and even Santa on Ice!
I absolutely love my new bed linen and it goes perfectly with my winter cushions and checked throw that I bring out every November! So cosy! Plus, if you use code VICTORIA25 you can get 25% off the entire range (valid until Sunday 12th November at midnight).
I recently received these Pixi beauty and skincare products and I’m so excited to try them out! The design and packaging is so pretty, and really good from the swatches I’ve tried so far! I’ve heard great things about Pixi, especially their skincare range and the Glow Tonic in particular.
I treated myself to some new candles from Home Bargains as they have some gorgeous smelling festive candles in! My favourite has to be the Gingerbread scent, but I also bought the Warm Apply and Cinnamon flavour, and Vanilla Snowflake. They are so cheap too.. the big one was less than £3 and the small ones are about 70p!
I’ve only recently properly moved into my flat as I was still doing it up and didn’t have the time to properly move all my things, so I was kind of living between the flat and my parents house. But now I’ve finally moved all my clothes etc so I’m here now!
It’s so nice to have a nice quiet space to myself, although I do miss my cats. I love my cosy living room; it’s so nice to turn on the fairy lights and snuggle up on the sofa under a blanket with a hot chocolate.
As a new home gift, my best friend Leonie’s Mum made me this cute V initial frame using Cath Kidston fabric! It’s so pretty and fits in so nicely with the rest of my things. It now lives on my cabinet shelf along with my vintage kitsch deers!
A couple of weekends ago me and Gavin had a wonderful nights stay near Kingston Upon Thames, just opposite Hampton Court Palace. We stayed in a lovely hotel (review coming soon!) and had a really nice time walking in the autumn leaves along the river and discovering the nearby towns. To finish our time there, we popped into Richmond (gorgeous place!) and enjoyed a hot chocolate and cupcakes at Hummingbird Bakery. Yum!
I’ve been buying lots of pretty things for my flat lately, including these pretty marble and copper homeware accessories. The copper brush holder and eyelash curlers are from New Look, the marble brushes from Ali Express (only £3!), the jewellery holder from Primark, and the marble trinket pot from The Range.
My favourite thing about having my own place is that I can do whatever I like, including decorate however I want. Admittedly, my Dad has done the wallpapering for me, but it’s hugely satisfying having a home just how I want it and planned it in my mind.
I was recently invited to try out the new deli restaurant inside Debenhams at intu Milton Keynes. It’s called Loaf and Bloom and it’s a brand new food and drink concept providing something different to your usual Debenhams cafe.
It’s a lovely little place to stop for a break after a hard days shopping and I was really impressed with the beautiful interior design. We went for an afternoon tea with a bit of a twist (hello massive wedge of cheese and lots of Parma ham!) which was delicious. I’ll be doing a full review soon!
I didn’t do much over Halloween, I just went to a fireworks display with my niece and did some more flat decorating. Aren’t I boring! I saw so many amazing outfits and some stunning make up on Instagram! Everyone really stepped up for Halloween this year!
And finally, last but not least.. last Saturday I took my niece to the The GCCF Supreme Cat Show at Birmingham NEC! If you haven’t heard of it before, it’s basically Crufts for cats, but with less clever tricks. There were hundreds of beautiful pure breed cats on show, including Ragdolls and Persians. The cats were all absolutely stunning and made my two little furballs look like paupers. We had so much fun going around looking at all the little beauties, and we got to stroke a few too!
