Life in Instagram: September 2018

September was a pretty busy month for me as I had two mini holidays! At the beginning of the month I went on a girls trip to Prague (read all about what we got up to here) and then a couple of weeks ago I went on a mini break to Malta for 5 nights! I still need to do a blog post on that but I’ll include a couple of pics in this round up post too! So here’s what I’ve been up to lately…

Prague was such a beautiful city and is the perfect place to visit for a city break. I liked that it isn’t too big so you don’t have to get transport everywhere and you can just walk around for hours finding cool places. If you’re an architecture lover then you’ll love Prague as there’s just so many pretty buildings everywhere you look!

I recently bought this really cute unicorn plate and also the matching mug from Home Bargains. They were so cheap, I think they were about £1.30 each! And then I also found a matching unicorn drinking glass in Asda for only 90p! It makes the cutest set and if you know someone that loves unicorns then this would make a great gift! I also bought the cute rose gold heart shaped spoon for 70p off Ali Express! It makes a great photo prop!

I’ve now framed the watercolour picture that I had painted of my two fluffy cats, Merlin and Marshall. It was made by a lady that lives locally to me and advertised on the community Facebook group. I always love supporting local businesses and she did such a good job! You can find her on Facebook under Kooky Illustrations and she does cartoon family portraits too! Merlin stayed over at the flat with us for a few nights and he was such a good boy! He is literally the cutest most beautiful cat I’ve ever seen! Just look at his eyes!

Before our flight to Malta we were treated to dinner at Bella Italia! I tweeted to say that I was excited for our trip and Tesco Mobile saw my tweet and replied saying they wanted to upgrade the trip by offering us £80 towards dinner! It was such a sweet gesture and so very appreciated! We enjoyed our steak dinners and a glass of wine before the flight and it was so nice to be able to sit down and relax before departure!

We went to Malta for 5 nights as my Mum is Maltese and I always used to holiday there as a little girl. I wanted to revisit the beautiful Mediterranean island again as an adult so I could explore all the places I didn’t appreciate as a child. We were lucky as the first two days was beautiful sunshine and blue clouds so we could enjoy a pool day and a trip to the beautiful Blue Lagoon. The other few days were still very warm but also very windy and cloudy too! But we still managed to go exploring the capital city Valletta and ancient medieval cities Rabat and Mdina.

I went for a girlie catch up lunch with Lucy and Issy (and baby Freddie) in Bedford last weekend. We went to the local Mexican restaurant called Baja where you can get a yummy meal (main and dessert) from their set menu for only £9! I had the Roadside Chicken with fries and cookie dough dessert! Yum!

I went on a little visit to Matalan the other week (I hadn’t been in absolutely ages!) and I spotted that they had all their Christmas stuff out! They had some really gorgeous looking decorations, and I am definitely going to have to get my hands on this flamingo snow globe Christmas decoration! I love Christmas!!
