A few weeks ago I booked a day off work and my parents and myself drove to Ely in Cambridgeshire for a little day out. We seem to spend a lot of our family days out here, as I love hunting in the numerous charity shops on the high street, browsing the huge antique store, and stopping for some tea at the stunning cathedral. On this visit we had packed our picnic set and popped into Sainsburys to pick up some al fresco lunch essentials. Luckily the weather was beautiful and we found a nice grassy patch in the cathedral…

If you’re a blogger, I’m sure you’ve probably already heard of the famous Lady Dinah’s Cat Emporium, which is Londons first cat cafe! A cat cafe is basically what it says on the tin, a normal cafe, but with cats casually strolling around for you to play with. Being a massive cat lover it was the land of dreams for me, or so I thought! I felt incredibly lucky to have booked a time slot for the weekend only a few weeks in advance, as there’s usually a few months of a waiting list. So we’d booked our time slot…

My birthday was on the 30th July but I’ve managed to string my celebrations out for over a whole week! I didn’t do too much on my actual birthday as it was during the week and people were busy, but the weekend before I had a miniature tea party in my garden with my family, including my little niece who loves this kind of thing! Nothing fancy, just a few cakes and sandwiches and pretty tableware. Sorry about the dark photos.. the sun was quickly disappearing in the evening!  I set the table with my pretty Cath Kidston tea set…

The weekend before last when the weather was boiling hot Liam and I drove to Cambridge to spend the night there. Intellicig kindly offered us a restaurant voucher which could be used in a wide range of high street restaurnt branches as part of their #GetSocial campaign. We chose to use our voucher to dine at Cafe Rouge, and because the weather was so gorgeous, we decided to sit outside. The restaurant had a gorgeous little courtyard outside with white washed walls and red window frames. I loved the relaxed atmosphere; al fresco dining at it’s best! It was such…

I recently received some lovely breakfast goodies as part of the Alpro Tops Shake Up Your Breakfast campaign. Alpro is a yogurt alternative full of soya, and it’s great poured onto fruit and cereal or in shakes and smoothies. It’s a source of healthy protein, calcium and vitamins, and it is lactose and dairy free. The three flavours of Alpro yogurt I got to try out were strawberry with rhubarb, vanilla, and simply plain. They also do a lemon on lime which sounds nice for summer! Although you can eat the yogurts on their own, where’s the fun in that?!…

At the weekend, my best friend and I went to Stratford Upon Avon for my birthday. We went last year too, and we decided to go to the same place for afternoon tea, which was at the Grosvenor Hotel. Because we went on a Sunday I thought the whole town would be dead, but it was actually rammed with people! We had a walk down the canal, popped into the shops on the high street, and they had a really lovely big local market on. After we had a little walk around the town, we went to the hotel for…
