Over the years I have managed to collect quite a few cake stands! I used to do a lot of baking and often used the stands for the cakes I baked.  Although I don’t bake much any more unfortunately, I do still make use of the cake stands I have accumulated. In fact I have had two of them in my bedroom for years, both of which I use daily. My Cath Kidston Cake Stands These two ceramic cake stands are from Cath Kidston which I bought over 5 years ago when I was still a student. They were a…

I always put up a few Christmas decorations around the room so I thought I’d do a little tour of my vintage dressing room before I take all the pretty festive bits down. This room used to be the ‘spare room’ but my parents let me transform it into my own little dressing room a few years ago. I decorated it using Laura Ashley wallpaper and picked out all the shabby chic furniture, and now I use it to store my pretty things and it has also become my ‘blog room’. As soon as autumn hits I’m all about fairy lights, spicy scented candles and cosy cushions! There’s nothing I love more then snuggling up on the sofa on a dark chilly evening after work with a hot chocolate. It’s almost time for me to bring out my autumn/winter decorations and bedding which get more and more festive towards Christmas!  Each season I can’t help but do a little bit of window shopping for new homewares and there are some really gorgeous cute around at the moment.  George at Asda especially has some really cute bits and pieces on their website…

I know it’s still a few weeks away yet, but after getting down all of our Christmas decorations from the attic we really got into the festive spirit! We decided to have a little pre-Christmas buffet for dinner (the best kind of dinner) after putting up the tree to try out some new tableware. Out came the tartan table runner, the snazzy new wine glasses, and all of the Christmas themed tableware. Along with festive dinnerware; pretty tea light candles are great for decorating a dinner table at Christmas time to give a fun festive atmosphere. Dinner Table Paper plates…

I was recently invited by Ocean to take part in a blogger project to pick some of my favourite Christmas home decorations for a total of up to £50. I’m actually quite impressed with how much £50 can get you when you shop in the right places!  I’ve wanted one of these naked little twig trees for ages and I was even considering making my own from branches found in the park! But this was much easier and more practical, and it has the added benefit that it has built in fairy lights! How cute! Can you believe it was…

Another scheduled post for you; today I’ll be having my bandage lenses removed at Optimax.. yay!   Recently interiors and homeware has become one of my favourite things to blog about (despite not having a place of my own!) so here is another homely post. My dressing room generally has quite a basic colour scheme as it has all white furniture and duck egg blue walls and accessories, which I do love, but the room now has a new addition.. I was asked by Out There Interiors to style up an item as part of their #MyCountryStyle project and I chose…
