I love the beginning of November because for me it officially marks the run up to Christmas! It’s the time of year when I give my wardrobe a clear out, buy some new knitwear, and refresh my bedroom.  The pretty floral bedding and pastel print cushions are banished away until spring time and out comes my winter duvet and snuggly blankets.  This year I have a few new additions to my winter wonderland bedroom thanks to George at Asda including this beautiful cosy red checked duvet set. The deep red and cream colours are so lovely for this time of…

I’m forever adding new things to my bedroom to make it more cosy for me and kitty, and recently I gained two new additions. I’ve never had a ‘proper’ set of curtains up in my room before as I could never find any that fit my colour scheme. So I had actually sewed a double bed sheet into curtains which I had up for over 5 years! They weren’t too bad to be honest, but as they were quite thin they let a lot of light in as they weren’t lined.  So ta da! Now I have a stunning new…

As I live at home with my parents I don’t have all the say on the decor in the house, but I tend to come up with a lot of the ideas. Ever since I was little I have always loved decorating rooms and I used to say I wanted to be an interior designer when I grew up. Although I am currently far from doing that as a career, I do enjoy doing a bit of home renovating now and again with my parents. My parents have quite opposite tastes in style; my Dad prefers the simplistic minimalist look…

Happy Bank Holiday! Apologies for the lack of posts recently, I’ve been pretty busy this past week or so and I’ve just got back from Leeds Fest! I took these photos of my dressing room a few weeks ago and thought it would be nice to do a little ‘room tour’ of my dressing room. I’ve not done a proper post on my favourite space since we renovated the spare room, but it probably looks familiar I use my dressing room to take almost all of my blog photos. It’s a nice airy space that gets quite a lot of…

Last month I posted about this wooden shelf that I had bought from the carboot sale for £1. It had already been given a pretty poor coat of white paint by the previous owner, and overall it was really tatty and needed a good clean up and make over. I could see the potential in it immediately and snapped it up. I thought it would be absolutely perfect in my dressing room for displaying my pretty perfume bottles. I could picture in my head how I wanted it to look, and the exact space I knew it would fit into.…

If you’re local (Milton Keynes) then you probably know that there’s a new Home Bargains store that’s been built at the retail park in Bletchley! There is also another HB store about a mile down the road on the high street, but I think I prefer the big shiny new one! They have so many lovely things in at the moment so I thought I’d do a little collective haul post on the goodies I bought recently. They’re stuff is such good value, and you have to be pretty quick, because once it’s gone sometimes doesn’t come back in stock.…
