At the moment I’m still living a cushty little life at home with my parents. As much as I want to move out, I hate the thought of renting somewhere and paying out all that cash and having nothing to show for it at the end. So I’ve been saving over half of my wages for the last few years to make up a deposit for a house, I just need to take the leap. I’m too scared though.. so for now I just buy pretty stuff for my non existent house. My Dad has been putting all of my…

I was recently invited to take part in a creative blogger challenge with housing and regeneration specialists Keepmoat to create an affordable DIY home project. With a budget of £50 to come up with something inspiring and imaginative, I started thinking about what I could create right away. I began thinking of making a kitty cabin for Merlin to hide in, as he loves sleeping in boxes, but then I stumbled across a wooden cabinet in a charity shop.  The finished look  I was having a little rummage in the store, and I fell in love with this little side cabinet as…

It’s been a week since my last blog post which is possibly my longest blog break ever! I usually try to get posts up every few days but I’ve been crazy busy lately with starting my new job and Christmas etc. And best of all, Liam came home from being in Africa for 3 months on New Years Eve, and we had an amazing week away in a cosy cottage with just the two of us. So I’ve not been online much and have been living the quiet life for the last week! But I was back to work again…

I’m not quite finished with all my Christmassy blog posts just yet! I wanted to show you all of my decorations and pretty festive things that we’ve got up around the house. We put your Christmas tree up the first weekend of December, but I kept on adding to it as I kept on buying new things.. oops! It’s finally finished now and I’m so happy with it. I think it looks much better than last years (although I’ve lost my favourite gingerbread man decoration!) and it’s really full and mostly coordinating with the Nordic red and white theme. All…

Yesterday when trying to plan my diary I had a mini panic attack realising how close Christmas was! I completely didn’t realise it’s now only two weeks away and I’ve been feeling totally unprepared! There always seems to be so much to do! Meeting up with people, parties, dinners, shopping, baking, wrapping.. its never ending! Luckily the Christmas home decor is my favourite part and I had a helping hand this year from the lovely people at Dunelm. Dunelm is one of my favourite stores for homewares and they have so many gorgeous things over the festive season! I was…

Happy November! Sorry for my absence, I’m aware I’ve not posted in well over a week (oops) which I’ve never done before. But I’ve been super busy lately, including finally landing a nice new job! It’s similar to what I do already except for a totally different company and I will save 30 miles and over an hour a day in traveling. So I’m very exciting to be starting that next month, although I will be a little bit sad to say goodbye to my first real ‘grown up’ job. But onwards and upwards!  Last week I popped into Dunelm…
