Now I’m going to let the photos do most of the talking here, but a couple of weekends ago we had a little family tea party. Not for any particular special occasion, just because I felt like doing something special and getting all my nice china out. I have a beautiful Cath Kidston provence rose design tea set that I won many years ago. It was my second ever comp win! But I’ve never got round to using it before, and it seemed silly having something so pretty and it being unused. So I got out my Cath Kidston tea…

Dunelm Mill… the land of boring household items and a million cushions? Well think again! I’ve always been a massive Dunelm fan, and I often find myself browsing the New In section on their website or spending my lunch break checking out their sales. They offer practically everything you need for your home, and the items are all very in season and on trend. It’s a great place to visit when you need to kit out your university room or your first home. After posting and tweeting about my last Dunelm haul back in May, I was kindly sent a…

I was recently asked to take part in a really exciting competition ran by Direct Blinds called ‘Renovation Sensation‘. To enter, I needed to buy an item of furniture to restore or renovate into something special. All the finished items will then be judged by TV and magazine interior stylist Pippa Jameson, and the winner will receive a £300 voucher to spend at Not on the High Street.    So one sunny weekend I head to an old antique shop near to Spalding with my boyfriend, they had some gorgeous antique jewellery and vintage furniture. I struggled to find something…

Sorry for the lack of blog posts lately, I’ve had a really busy week and been away all weekend enjoying the sunshine! Will try to get back to blogging again this week. Anyway.. I’ve been a massive fan of Sass and Belle for years since discovering their Covent Garden shop hidden beneath the main market building. They sell a massive range of beautiful shabby chic style goodies, and all for extremely reasonable prices. I can pretty much guarantee if you have style and tastes similar to mine, you will love this shop! They have three stores in London, and one…

Another homeware post for you! I’m a bit obsessed lately. But I couldn’t resist a sale on at one of my favourite stores Dunelm Mill. I got a tonne of goodies really cheap and I probably bought some bits I didn’t really need, but some things were only 10p so… I’ve wanted this cupcake cushion for ages and featured it on a couple of wishlists in the past. I finally decided to buy it as it was half price so only £6.49 and it’s just the cutest embroidered design.  I probably didn’t need these Eiffel Tower tins but they were so…

I’ve been browsing around for some bedroom inspiration lately, as I’ve been thinking about updating my room a little bit. I do love my bedroom, but I feel it’s becoming a little bit cluttered lately and it can look a bit childish at times! A teenagers pink palace isn’t really the look I was intentionally going for, so I’ve been trying to find ways to minimise my stuff and generally improve the overall look lately. I’ve not got much to work with in my room as it’s quite small so there isn’t much space. Storage is important in my room…
