This blog post has been in the pipeline for a couple of months now as I went on my dream holiday to Jamaica back in June, but I just hadn’t yet got round to going through all my photos! I took so many! I’ve narrowed it down so there’s hopefully not too many photos in this blog post, but I just had so many stunning ones to share with you. We decided to go to Jamaica as we wanted to try somewhere in the Caribbean that we hadn’t been before, but that was also affordable. The Hotel Riu Ocho Rios…

I was recently invited to stay at Chicheley Hall, a gorgeous Grade I listed English country house just outside of Milton Keynes. The 18th century Baroque style mansion is home to 48 rooms, a restaurant and a bar all set within 80 acres of beautifully kept grounds. Its secluded countryside location offers the perfect respite from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Bedroom After checking in at reception we went to find our room, the Cartwright suite, which is part of the original Grade I listed part of the house. The suite is a stunning large room with solid…

Last month we took a short ‘staycation’ to The Cotswolds where we stayed in a gorgeous stone cottage for a lovely long weekend. We booked the cottage on Airbnb earlier this year and I was so excited when the day finally came around for our trip! We’d planned just to have a nice chilled break away from home for three nights and it was the perfect little getaway we needed. Although we did end up doing lots of walking and eating lots of yummy food! The Cottage ‘Forget Me Not Cottage‘ is located in a small village called Blockley which…

I say plans, but I haven’t actually got around to booking anything for 2018 just yet! My boyfriend Gavin has just started a new job which means he no longer has to work weekends (yay!) so this means now we can go on weekends away. Yippee! Once he’s all settled into his new workplace we can both look at booking some annual leave for a  proper holiday too! The only down side to this is that Gavin used to work for TUI so we would get an amazing discount on holidays which we won’t be able to get any more.…

To get into the festive spirit, earlier this month Gavin and I took a day trip to Birmingham to visit the Christmassy sights. I used to go to university in Birmingham (many moons ago now!) so I always enjoy visiting the city to see if anything has changed and what’s new. On our trip we visited the Christmas Market, the Christmas Illuminated Lights Trail at the Botanical Gardens, and then went to the Broadway Casino Restaurant for dinner. German Christmas Market When I was a student I always liked having a look around the German Christmas Market on New Street…

Back in September (ages ago now!) we went on our summer holiday to the Greek island of Rhodes which is somewhere that I had wanted to visit for years! After a lot of research and deliberating we decided to book our accommodation at the Amada Colossos Resort with TUI. The all inclusive resort is situated between Kalithea and Faliraki and located on a stretch of sandy beach. Bedroom We picked the Amada Colossos as it was only re-opened in August so we were excited to be visiting a fresh clean hotel! They have refurbished all of the bedrooms, restaurants and…
