Hello everyone! I sincerely hope that you all had a very enjoyable Christmas period and that you got everything you wished for and ate lots of delicious food! In my house we started the day at 9am with a delicious croissant breakfast! I opened a few pressies in my fabulous Santa Claus onesie (which I won from New Look!) with Merlin, and then I went and got changed into my proper Christmas dress (post coming soon!). My sister, her partner, my niece, and my baby nephew came over at noon to open more presents, and then we all sat down…

So I thought I would do a little catch up post about what I’ve been up to lately! Now that I’m unfortunately unemployed, I have lots of spare time, so I thought it would be a good opportunity to visit my boyfriend Liam for a week! We met at uni in Birmingham, and when I graduated I moved back home to the East and he moved back to Wales. So he lives 100+ miles from me but it’s only two and a half hours on the train so not too bad. I still see him as much as possible! He…

So, as I previously posted on Monday, I won a competition with Go Lakes Travel to go on a trip to the Lake District! We got to spend 3 nights at the amazing Waterhead boutique hotel, which included breakfast and a 3 course dinner. We had an absolutely amazing time! So here is a little bit about the first couple of days of our trip, and lots of photos too! We were really excited about finally reaching Ambleside after a long 4 hour drive from home. We checked in just after 4pm and said goodbye to my little car for…

*I’m away in the Lakes right now, but here’s a scheduled post* My best friend Leonie kindly bought me an afternoon tea voucher for my birthday (which was in July) and we finally got found to using it at the weekend! Very interesting. It was on the main high street in the heart of the town, and we also wanted to browse around a nice place…

The weather at the weekend was so beautiful! This week seems to be a little glum, but at least winter isn’t here just yet. On Sunday I treated myself and my parents to a little afternoon out to Wing, near Leighton Buzzard. We went to The Queen’s Head, courtesy of www.groupon.co.uk/vouchers/restaurant/british/afternoon-tea, for an afternoon tea. The Queen’s Head is a 16th Century pub set in the picturesque Buckinghamshire village of Wing. They do a wide range of British pub meals, as well as an a la carte menu, and afternoon tea. The afternoon tea consists of a selection of finger…
