Over the weekend, my best friend Gabriella came to stay at my house, and we visted my local shopping centre, The Centre:MK. Even though it was the last shopping weekend before Christmas, it wasn’t that busy, which is good 🙂 We wondered around the shops, bought some yummy cupcakes, and ate a delicious lunch at Nandos (chicken pitta – amazeballs!).
First stop: Shopping. Eyeing up the pretty things in Accessorize, and looking forward to when the sales start!
Perving on the Soap and Glory offer of the week in Boots. There were still plenty left on Saturday.
A new and very exciting addition to the shopping centre, Cupcakery:MK by Xlusyv’s Cakes and Cupcakery. I hadn’t seen this before as it’s brand new, but I was very excited to see it as we don’t have any cupcake sellers in my local area! I was dubious that they would be disappointing as many cupcakes bought for £3+ each on my London trips have been awful. I thought they might be a bit dry from lying out all day under the glass rooves of the shopping centre.
However, the cupcakes that are in the display are just for show! Once you order, they freshly frost and decorate a pre made fresh cake infront of your eyes. The girls working there were very good too 🙂
They were so very tasty indeed. They were £2.49 each or 2 for £4.75. Gabby and I chose one each, I got the 24 carat carrot cake, and Gabs chose the Cardinal red velvet cake. They had a huge menu though, with all sorts of tastey cakes and toppings. I want to try the Terrys Chocolate Orange one next, yum! They weren’t at all dry and they we’re really soft and fresh. Will definatley go back again soon!
Cupcakery:MK sell delicious cupcakes and also birthday/wedding cakes custom made to suit your needs! Check them out 🙂
We then headed for Nandos where I had a lush lemon and herb chicken breast pitta with halloumi and mushroom. And I also had creamy mash and coleslaw as sides. Nomalicious!
Also, Gabriella decided to get her eyebrows threaded while we were out. I had pretty much no idea how they did this, but they literally do actually just use a piece of thread! I’m sure Gabs will post all about it on her blog in more detail 🙂
The Christmas Grotto was out 🙂
And some very cute pretty cabin shops.

Love love cupcakes! Those cupcakes look delicious! And you remind me that I really need to go to Nandos! I haven't been for ages… and my student card gets me a free drink there, get in there! 🙂
