1. Philly’s MK – Burgers & Philly Cheesesteak
Philly’s in Wolverton has been a firm favourite of mine ever since it opened. The staff are so lovely, the service is great, and the portion sizes are brilliant. Definitely the best takeaway in Wolverton, and possibly my favourite takeaway in Milton Keynes! Huge burgers, good chicken tenders, smooth milkshakes and gooey mac and cheese. A fab new independent to support!

2. Cluck’d – Grilled Chicken Your Way
There’s a brand new chicken spot in town and it’s worth the hype. Cluck’d has opened in Lloyds Court, Central MK, joining lots of other cool foodie neighbours. Their speciality is grilled chicken done your way – burgers, wraps, wings, boneless strips – and you can spice things up as much as you like. Everything we tried was delicious, full of flavour, and great portion sizes. Definitely one to add to your MK foodie list!

3. Amigos – Burgers & Shakes
Another Lloyds Court arrival, Amigos, has opened and it really exceeded expectations. I wasn’t sure what to expect… but the portions are huge, the food is great quality, and everything was super tasty. Highlights were the milkshakes – the Oreo & Kinder Bueno ones were top tier! Also the mac and cheese bites (so gooey and cheesy) and the chicken burger – absolutely massive and so satisfying.

4. Popeyes – Louisiana Fried Chicken
The long-awaited Popeyes has finally landed in Midsummer Place. And yes – the chicken really is better than the colonel’s… by a mile.
The food came out quickly, the staff were lovely, and there’s plenty to choose from. My picks: boneless bites with ranch & BBQ sauce, mac and cheese, mashed potato with Cajun gravy (SO good) and the Oreo milkshake. If you’ve been waiting to give it a try: go. Immediately.

5. Spudalicious – Jacket Potato Van
If you love a classic comfort meal, you need to check out Spudalicious, parked just outside the stadium at MK1, opposite the cinema. I’ve tried the both the beef brisket and the chilli con carne jacket potato fillings, and both were absolutely delicious and so filling. Great if you’re on a budget too! They’re usually open Monday – Thursday 11:30am – 5pm, Friday & Saturday – 11:30am – 6pm but check their Instagram for the latest updates.

6. You Want Beef? – Beef & Chicken Burgers
You Want Beef? has opened in Brooklands Square and the menu is huge. Whether you’re into beef burgers, chicken burgers, wings, loaded fries, or milkshakes—they’ve got you covered. I ordered a huge chicken burger & buttermilk chicken strips, as well as mac and cheese triangles (these were AMAZING). Generous portions and loads of choice – perfect for a weekend treat.

7. Bunz – Bletchley’s Burger Spot
If you want fresh, homemade quality, Bunz in Bletchley is for you. They don’t use frozen brioche – they get their buns delivered fresh daily from the bakery across the road. They also have homemade sauces (the garlic and chilli sauces are incredible), juicy burgers, decent portions, and you can eat-in or takeaway. Friendly team + great presentation = a winner. Definitely one of the best takeaways in Bletchley.

8. Chunkeez – Juicy Burgers
I love Chunkeez – their classic burger is just perfect – 6oz patty, BBQ sauce, mayo, double cheese, crispy onions, grilled onions. Absolute perfection for just £11 including fries and a canned drink. Quality + size + price = unbeatable.

9. Wing Kingz – Wings, Burgers & Sports
If you love wings and sports, Wing Kingz is the place to be. It was busy when we went (football night!) but the food still arrived pretty quickly. They do loads of wing flavours and also have boneless wings available. They do pretty tasty burgers and really good mac and cheese, and theres huge screens everywhere if you’re a sports fan. A solid place for food, drinks, and atmosphere.

10. Spice Bar, Wolverton – Bangladeshi and Indian cuisine
This independent family-run takeaway offers authentic Bangladeshi and Indian cuisine, with everything from classics like chicken tikka massala, to signature dishes. Known for generous portions and flavour-packed dishes, with takeaway and delivery available.

11. 3Stax Burgers – Unique Sealed Burgers
3Stax are a new takeaway in Broughton, and they do a really unique sealed smash burger that locks in all the sauces and toppings, which makes it so juicy and flavourful. Love the milkshakes and chicken tenders here too! If you’re looking for something a bit different from your usual takeaway, this one is definitely worth adding to your list!

12. Hola Burrito – Fresh Mexican Food
One of the newest takeaways to open in Milton Keynes, Hola Burrito serves freshly made Mexican favourites including burritos, tacos, quesadillas and loaded fries.
We tried the beef burrito, which was packed with tender, nicely spiced steak and plenty of filling, along with the chipotle chicken quesadilla which was perfectly toasted with lots of melted cheese. We also sampled both the chicken and sautéed vegetable tacos, served in soft tortillas with fresh toppings and guacamole. Everything tasted fresh and flavourful, and it’s a great option if you’re craving Mexican food.
