Recent Random Bargains ♥

Perhaps a slightly dull blog post, and also similar to the one I published a few days back, but I felt the need to share with you some of these bargain buys I’ve picked up recently! Home Bargains and Poundland are pretty much my go to shops for all things cheap and satisfying. Although Poundland has been a little bit disappointing for me lately, I’ve seen some people get some great stuff including Rimmel Apocalips and their Stardust glitter nail polish (see here)! So keep your eye out for some branded beauty goodies in the pound shops!
I picked up a few branded cosmetics from Poundland recently including a Maybelline MNY pink lip balm and nude eyeshadow (I think these were sold only in the US), and also a Rimmel Stay Blushed liquid cheek tint (£4.49 in Boots). I’ve been using the eyeshadow daily as it makes a great base, but I don’t think too much of the blush tint, and the lipbalm is a bit too pink for me.
I’ve been trying to drink more water throught out the day whilst I’m at work, so instead of refilling a little glass or boring water bottle, I picked up this hot pink plastic tumbler with a straw. It was only £1.29 from Home Bargains and it’s just what I needed!
I think I’ve raved about these Eylure lashes in the past (usually RRP around £5), they are ‘literally’ the best false eyelashes I’ve tried (and I’ve tried almost every brand going!). They are pre glued so you don’t have to faff about with tacky goo, and they’re also nice and natural looking. But best of all, they’re only 79p! I’ve bought them from Poundworld in the past, but now Home Bargains have started stocking them for less. But be quick as I’m not sure how long they will be around for…
Has anyone tried this 30 day mascara by Colorsport before? I bought it from Home Bargains for only 79p but I’m a bit scared to use it in case I burn my eyeballs out. It usually sells for over £8 in Boots so I thought I’d give it a go (once I’m brave enough).
I’ve recently started a little Kilner glass collection, including one of their little retro lemonade mugs which I bought from a  homeware shop in a town called March for only £2 (£3.50 in Selfridges). I was also gifted the cute hot pink Kilner jar filled with marshmallows from best blogging buddy Terri, and I found some Kilner clip top bottles in Home Bargains for only 99p (usually £3 in other stores).
I bought this cute little fox cushion from the same shop in March for 99p. I bought it for my friend that loves foxed but I might keep it for myself…. (not really Isabelle!).
These pretty bags were also from the same shop (it’s a granny shop from the outside but it has some treasures!). The gift bags at the top were only £1 each and I plan on using them to store cotton wool and face wipes etc in in my cupboard. The bigger bags were £2 each and I couldn’t pick which was my favourite pattern so I got both! I use them to store up plastic carrier bags (which I will probably never actually require).
Finally, every girl needs tights right? Well I need lots of them because I somehow manage to ladder mine every single day! I’m forever buying tights and despise spending more than £1 each on a pair. I found these ones in the clearance section at Wilko, and I managed to get 2 pairs of thick black Pretty Polly tights for £1 (normally £4), plus 3 natural Wilko ones for £1!

I've used the eyelash dye before and it's great. Might take a trip to Home Bargains myself! Use an old mascara wand for easier application.

Hi, Ive used the lash tint many times, I would recomend applying Vaseline with a q-tip so you don't dye your eyelid etc! Also a little goes along way; I do one eye & eyebrow from start to finish, throw away any leftover & start the process again, you could always ask someone you trust to do it for you though. Before you plan to use it you really should do a patch test, mix a little bit up & apply it to the inside of your wrist or crook of your elbow & wait 24 hours to check for a reaction or not. It does seem a little "scary" the first time but its dead easy! x

I did the exact same thing..brought a pretty cup so I would drink more. And I can say it worked! Great makeup purchases as well!

I can't believe that the eyelash tint was only 79p! I pay full price in boots for it! I don't have a home bargains near me (boohoo) but I'm going to ask my mum to look in the one at home for me. I was a bit worried before the first time I tinted my eyelashes (i'm really funny about my eyes and my friend constantly takes the piss out of the time she tried to put eyeliner on me and I screamed the house down) but its basically the same as putting mascara on. Just think 'I don't poke my eye out when I put mascara on'.
