I’ve had a really busy past few weeks, and I am still going to be super busy over the next few weeks too. This lack of time has mainly been taken by baking cakes for various reasons! I’ve had a few nice big customer orders, family occasions, and my first bake sale at my local carboot. It was really nice weather and it was a successful day but I’m not sure I will do it again, just because it was a whole three days of effort!
I also have another bake sale coming up at the weekend, where over 2000 people are due to attend. I am going to be baking all week! Then in June it’s my nephews Christening so I will be making and decorating a tonne of cupcakes. I’m sick of cake though, although I must say they taste better and better each time! But I can barely eat them anymore haha. Anyway here’s what I’ve been baking lately.

Vanilla cupcakes for a customer order
Practising number cakes
This ’50’ cake was a customer order for the lady’s Mums 50th birthday party! I had great fun making this and it’s the biggest cake I’ve ever made! I was so pleased it came out so nicely.
Triple layer chocolate ‘Keep Calm No More Exams’ cake ordered by a group of foreign university students
I made this giant chocolate cupcake for my niece’s 9th birthday! She requested it and I was a little unsure because I always struggle with giant cupcakes, but this came out just fine and she loved it! It was super yummy. We had a little afternoon tea party for her 🙂

I really wish I could taste your cakes. Don't live anywhere near you 🙁 That number 5 cake looks mouthwatering. I'm glad things are going well with your cake business 🙂

I'd love to do something like this – I live in rented accomodation though and we don't have a double sink which I believe you need to pass the food hygiene test don't you 🙁
