My big sister is expecting a little baby boy in less than 3 weeks! Which means I will be an Auntie again, which is very exciting! Her friends very kindly threw her a little baby shower gathering, and I made the cake for the party.  Whilst I am fairy experienced at making and decorating cupcakes, I am not so good at making full sized cakes, and I am pretty terrible at icing covering them.  I decided to try and keep it simple, covering it in a plain white icing, and then using some baby blue for the decorations. The cake…

TV’s are one of those ugly things that you have to have in your bedroom or lounge, and they all come with a bog standard black plastic casing. They’re big and don’t coordinate with the rest of the colours in the room, and they are pretty unuattractive! So I thought I would try and make mine blend in a bit more by giving it a bit of a make over. I decided to go over the edge of my TV screen in Cath Kidston floral masking tape, just so it’s fits in bit more. It’s unfortunate it can’t be customised…

I haven’t done a DIY post in a while, so I thought I would show you what I made over the weekend. My make up brush collection has recently expanded so I’ve been looking for a new way to store my brushes in an interesting and attractive way. This project cost me literally nothing too! I decided to get crafty with some old jam jars, and some pretty patterned paper. Then you need a pencil, rular and scissors. And that’s all you need! Wash out the jars to ensure they are 100% clean. A few months ago I spotted a stunning dress on the River Island sale rack. It was one I recognised from a few seasons ago, because I remembered how much I loved it then! It was this 50’s style cherry print summer dress, but, it wasn’t reduced just because it was old. The price of the dress was only £5, reduced from £30. This was because the dress had only three buttons up the front, so it was faulty. It was also two sizes too big for me, but I loved it and for only £5, I bought it anyway.…

I thought I would do a little post of my bedroom since I’ve got a few new bits of furniture and had a big tidy up! I’ve always liked taking pride in the appearance of my bedroom, and when I was a kid I wanted to be an interior designer. I really love DIY projects because I love being creative and showing my imaginative side. I adore Cath Kidston, and her designs are a big inspiration for me. I try to base my bedroom around a shabby chic/vintage girly theme, decorating using pastel colours and white, and accessorising with vintage…
