New Look Sale Buys Outfit: Purple Velvet Dress ♥

I love sale shopping, and after Christmas I managed to pick up a range of bargains in the sales. Especially at New Look, I got loads of stuff, which I have still been meaning to show you in a haul post! Oops. Anyway, before I show you the whole haul, here are a couple of the pieces I picked up in the sale. 

I got this lovely purple velvet skater dress, reduced from £16.99 to only £10! I like that it has half length sleeves, as I hate vest strap dresses! And also the fit of the top and the flared skirt I think is really pretty. I probably have one of these dresses in almost every colour now, I just love them! I think my velvet obsession is going a bit too far now though, so I won’t buy anymore! New Look do loads of other nice dresses too, but they sell out so quickly! I hope velvet is still in fashion next winter…

I also picked up a really nice and practical clutch bag. I’ve been looking for a large-ish black clutch bag for a while, but I wanted one with a wrist strap as I have a tendency to drop my bags on night outs! I found this one amongst the sale items in my local New Look store, and it’s perfect! It’s a leathery look material, with a nice twisted bow detail to the front. I wanted a larger bag than normal slim clutches as I wanted something I can fit my bridge camera in, and this one does! Its perfect, and it was reduced from £9.99 to only £5! They still have some sale items available online and instore!
