The best £9 I've spent in a while.. new camera tripod! ♥

So this may well be the most uninteresting blog post you've ever seen me do. But tough, because I'm posting it anyway because I want to share this marvel with you! I don't know about you other blogging girls, but I spent the first year or so of my blogging life balancing my digital camera on the edge of my TV or on my desk. This gave me little joy, because it was 1. a pain to balance and 2. I was in the same location for every photo due to lack of flat, high surfaces.

I always thought tripod would be expensive, complicated, and only for dedicated camera geeks. You know the ones.. with their massive snazzy cameras strapped around their necks. However, I grew fed up of the camera balancing act and decided to browse my much loved eBay to find a solution. I came across this one by Konig for only £8.99 (free delivery!) and decided to give it a try as I was so frustrated.

I'd never heard of Konig, and I assumed that it was some non existent fake Chinese brand. However, it appears to be an actual electronics company that sells real things. I chose this tripod out of the thousands that turned up in my search results because it was the tallest one I could find, standing at 1.3m. After ordering, a few days later a rather small package arrived for me, it was my tripod! This thing folds up so small, I even took it with me on my recent Wales trip! I'm sooo pleased with it. You can take photos in any position with it, and its so lightweight. I'm just chuffed with it. So if any of you are still foolish enough to be stabilising your digicam with blutac (maybe that's just me) then I suggest you buy this one! It's a total bargain and now I use it everyday! It means I can also go out in the garden without dragging one of my parents out with me (who are terrible at photo taking and are always suggesting bizarre poses). I'm sure many of you are reading this like 'wtf.. why didn't she just buy one sooner'. And I have no idea my friends, no idea at all.

So there you have it.. dull post over!

  1. Not a dull post at all; this is actually really useful as I need one myself but don't want to splash out on a big fancy one like you say!

Definitely going to look into this one, thanks!!

  2. Such a bargain! Having been blogging for over a year now, I still haven't found the perfect place in my house to photograph outfits, but I think for £8.99, that problem could be solved forever! Definitely not a dull post :)

  5. I ordered one of Ebay a few days ago, I got home today and it arrived. The only thing is its a mini one... and I mean mini lol! It will be useful as like you say I won't have to find a place to balance my camera every time but I may have to also invest in a bigger one! Great find thanks :)

  6. Not at all a boring post Victoria! In fact you've just convinced me to buy me one of these beauties! I'm normally happy with placing my camera in precarious positions around my room, but it's so very restricted! Thanks for the tip! Xx

  14. Your tripod looks like a good one. My daughter uses hers all the time and would not be without it. She has been able to take some great pics of herself without my help! for her fashion blog. So I've got more time for my blog. So everyone is HAPPY.
