Hunter Original Wellington Boots

Thanks to the extremely kind people over at Hunter Boots, I am very grateful to have received my very own pair of Hunter wellies! They generously sent me a pair of welly boots, as well as a pair for my boyfriend Liam, and a pair of welly socks each for our trip to the Lake District!
I’ve always wanted a pair of original Hunter wellies. They’re such a wonderful iconic traditional British brand and made with such excellent quality. I was so happy when two massive boxes arrived for us, and very, very excited! I chose the Original Back Adjustable Welly Boots in Red.

I chose the adjustable pair because my calves are pretty meaty, and I was a little bit worried that a normal pair would be too tight for my chubby legs! I love the colour red for all seasons, so I thought it was the perfect colour to choose, but I was impressed by the variety available to pick from. I’m so pleased that I went with red, as the colour is really bold and vivid! These are just as flexible as the normal pair, just with an adjustable strap; perfect for tucking in bulky jeans.

Liam picked the very large manly pair of shooting boots, called the Classic Balmoral. This is a high performance technical boot, designed for sporting enthusiasts. The Balmoral range is made from a rubber compound that is more heavy duty than their Original Range. They came in a much larger box than my little red wellies! They looked huge compared to mine! They are a really solid, high quality boot, that look like they would last a lifetime of wear. They came in a dark olive green colour, with an adjustable side strap.

Both pairs of boots came in their iconic big black Hunter boot box, and emblazoned with the traditional Hunter logo on the front of each pair.

I was a little cautious that the boots
wouldn’t be very comfortable, especially for walking long distances.
However I was very very plesantly surprised by how comfy they are! They
are the perfect fit, with a cushioned insole.  I thought that these would be useful for our trip to the Lake District,
as the weather was predicted to be wet. These boots were more than
useful, and I don’t know what we would have done without a pair each!
We both wore them everyday, and Liam even wore them to go cycling in! We walked miles in them, and through streams, and they kept our feet toasty, and most importantly, dry! They are so comfortable and generally useful, I’m going to wear mine quite often at home too! I cannot recommend or thank Hunter enough. Their boots are amazing, and they far outweigh cheap wellies. These boots will last a very, very long time, and they are hard wearing. Other wellies I’ve worn are uncomfortable as they don’t have cushioning and cannot be adjusted. We wore these for our whole trip, and neither of us complanied that they hurt us. I 100% recommed Hunter boots, for practical use, or as a fashion item! Here are some photos of us both enjoying our new booties.

Thank you Hunter Boots!

I adore Hunters – they are so effortlessly and timelessly chic. I used to work somewhere that sold them and when the rep arrived with his new wares each season, our buyer could hardly get a look in with the rest of us crowding in for a nosy! Love the picture of you and Liam at the waterfall. Vohn xx
