Duck Egg Blue Roberts Radio ♥

As you probably already know, I’m redecorating our spare room into my new dressing room, so I thought I’d do a little update on how that’s going! This is pretty exciting for me because I love interior design and this is a great project to keep me busy! I’ve chosen to keep the room quite minimalist and sleek, with white furniture. But as I love a bit of colour, I’ve decided that pale duck egg blue is the perfect feminine colour for a girly boudoir. 

At the moment, the spare room has been completely emptied of everything that was in there, the old wallpaper has been taken down, the old carpet pulled up, and Dad’s been busy filling, plastering, sanding and painting the walls ready for me to decorate! We’ve been looking at new flooring to put down, and I’ve been considering a plush new carpet or possibly laminate floor. I’ve done quite a bit of shopping this weekend for pretty new accessories for the room, but I realised that I already have the perfect feature accessory.

I won this beautiful iconic Roberts Revival vintage style DAB radio two years ago, and I’ve kept it stored up in the roof since I’ve had it. I won it from a Facebook competition by Hovis Bread whilst I was away working at Disney World Florida, and I was super excited to come home to see it! But because it was so precious to me, I kept it boxed up and hidden away, and pretty much forgot about it. I’ve not featured it on the blog properly before, and it’s so gorgeous so I wanted to show it off! It’s such a pretty retro style, and I chose it in this stunning duck egg blue colour. So now once the dressing room is complete, this will be taking pride of place in it’s new surroundings!
