Evening everyone! I hope you’ve all had a wonderful Christmas! Mine has been pretty chilled and very family orientated and it’s been so lovely to have just a nice relaxing day. I hadn’t got an outfit planned for the day, so I chose to wear this very last minute! I’ve had this dress for over a year, I received it last year from Ahai, one of those Asian clothing stores. I wore it to a Christmas event last year and hadn’t worn it since, and I thought it was sparkly and Christmassy enough to wear today!
Funnily enough it’s still available to buy on the Ahai website for £20 and free shipping. I really like the dress because it’s made from a really thick cotton and it’s nice as it covers up my lumps and bumps relatively well and is a decent length. I rarely wear black dresses, but I do love the sparkly gold Peter Pan collar on this dress! I had my hair in loose waves by using my trusty old Babyliss Waving Wand, and I kept my make up normal, with the addition of my favourite new lipstick.. Rimmel As You Want Victoria.
I also wore my super fab new boots! I’ve been lusting over getting a pair of over the knee boots for weeks, and although I have tried on a few pairs in high street shops they didn’t quite fit me well enough. I have quite large calves and they were all just too tight on me or I couldn’t even get my legs into them. So when I spotted these boots from Spy Love Buy I thought they would be perfect as they’ve got elasticated sides! Because they stretch it means they can fit my chubby little calves in.. yay!
There’s plenty of room to tuck in a pair of jeans too! So if any of you ladies have got bigger than average legs, see if you can find a pair of these Chelsea style boots as they’re nice and spacious. I chose flat boots because although I would have liked something with a bit of a heel or wedge, I only ever wear dresses, and I don’t want to look too much like a street walker! So these were a perfect choice because they do have a little heel so they aren’t totally flat, but they don’t look like stripper boots either. They’re made from a really soft suede feel material and they really do look a lot more expensive than their £30 price tag. I’m sorry these photos aren’t great (and it was after dinner.. hence my slightly rounded middle!) but I’m positive I’ll be featuring the boots again in lots more OOTD posts!
Happy Christmas everyone!
