If this year you will be Christmas shopping for someone and you’re not quite sure what to get them, then here are a couple of super simple ideas to suit anyone. Especially if you need to buy for slightly distant family members who might be a little bit difficult to buy for, or you simply aren’t sure what to get them. I think fail safe gifts would be a beautiful bouquet of flowers, or a Christmas food hamper, which could be shared and enjoyed by the whole family on Christmas day.
I recently received this stunning bouquet from Debenhams Flowers. I absolutely love receiving flowers, and I think probably most women do, whatever their age. The bouquet I received was called ‘Christmas Wish’, and it was a beautiful selection of scented lilies, red carnations and grandprix roses with festive berries. I put the flowers in my pretty new Laura Ashley polka dot pottery jug and they sat pretty in my dining room for well over a week. Although these photos show the flowers with the lilies closed up, after a day they really brightened and opened up beautifully, and I posted a photo in Instagram and it got lots of love!
Another gift which I think would suit almost everyone is a food hamper. I received this seasonal luxuries basket from Viking, and it contains lots of festive treats and snacks. My hamper contained a bottle of Peregrino Merlot wine, Demerara Shortbread, Chocolate Fudge Bar, Chilli Coated Peanuts, Chocolate Enrobed Caramels, and Mustard & Onion Thins. I think the fact that this hamper includes a bottle of wine makes it extra special, and all of this came packed into a lidded woven basket. I have a bit of a sweet tooth so I chose this one as it comes with shortbread and fudge! Yummy! It’s a perfect way to say ‘Merry Christmas’ and they sell a range of other hampers with various treats in too.
