Collar Pleated Skater Dress ♥

The last couple of weeks I’ve been on quite a health kick. I’ve ditched (most of) the bad habits I had before and tried to do a lot more exercise. I’ve started making a packed lunch for work of pitta bread, houmous, carrots and cucumber, or a salad. Instead of snacking on chocolate and cake I’ve been having fruit and yogurt (sometimes crackers and cheese but shh). I normally find exercise boring but I tried to keep it varied last week, by going to 2 different gyms, a zumba session, a bike ride, and using the treadmill at home. There’s loads of different ways to exercise when you think about it! And now it’s warmer weather I want to go swimming every so often as well.
But anyway, I’ve been feeling a little bit better lately about my size because I know I’ve been sticking to being healthier. I feel pretty guilty whenever I have a meal out or something though, so I’ve been trying to have smaller portions too! It’s only been 2 weeks but I can feel a difference already, even if I can’t really see it! And so far it’s been pretty easy, so there’s no reason I can’t keep it up. Enough of my ramble… check out my new dress!
I recently received this dress courtesy of Wear All, an affordable online fashion retailer. The dress comes in 4 different colours, but I picked the nude/pink colour as I don’t have many things in this shade. The dress is made from that slightly scuba material so it’s quite clingy. It has a black Peter Pan collar and a flattering pleated skater skirt. What I really love about this dress is that it can easily be worn for both day or night. I think with tights and flats it would look great for work, or I’ve styled it for an evening look.
The dress just the right length for me, and I like that there is space around the waist for me to add a skinny belt. I think a belt really pulls this outfit together, as it coordinates the dress with the bag and the shoes. The bag is a Primark buy, funnily enough it’s actually a wash bag, but I use it as a clutch! Can you tell it’s a wash bag?! I think it’s so cute! It’s too smart to keep toiletries in. I bought it a couple of months ago for only £4 on a hunt for a night out bag, and it does the job perfectly. The flatforms are also Primark, although there are similar on eBay. They’re so comfy!

This is so pretty, and the flatforms you paired the dress with look great! 🙂

The bag definitely passes for a clutch bag!
