I love getting into the festive spirit, and admittedly I’ve started pretty early this year. I spent most of my weekend accidentally buying lots of Christmas decorations (I can never resist a bargain!) and I’ve really got into a Christmassy mood! I’m looking forward to the ‘big day’ coming around this year, or maybe I’m just excited at the thought of turning the house into Santa’s grotto? Either way, I love the run up to Christmas, and there’s nothing better than doing some festive preparations in a novelty Christmas jumper!
I’ve sported a couple of such jumpers on my blog in the past, this reindeer one in 2011 (don’t I look slim and lovely!) and also this kitten one last year! I’m not afraid to admit I love them! The reindeer one was a firm favourite with me for a few years (until I grew out of it!) and I loved it because it was festive but not OTT Christmassy so I could wear it throughout winter. I have a pretty boring fashion style generally, so I find it quite nice to wear something different for a change and something a little bit quirky and snug. This year I have a gorgeous new Christmas jumper from high street favourite New Look.
This soft red fine knit jumper has adorable little snowmen and dainty silver threaded snowflakes embroidered onto it. Again, I love that this jumper isn’t OTT and it’s quite subtle but still perfect for Christmas time. I’m definitely going to feel happy wearing this to work nearer the time without feeling silly, and possibly even on Christmas day itself to keep me warm. I think the jumper goes nicely with this red and blue checked mini skirt, which I just love! I love the jumper and skirt combo paired with my new high leg suede boots from Primark. The whole outfit is just my style and what I like to wear at Christmas time, and I’m sure I’ll be rocking this jumper for many Christmasses to come!
