I hope everyone has had an amazing couple of days with their friends and family for Christmas! Unfortunately I have to work this weekend (boo hoo) but then I’m off for 5 days from Thursday and am going to a private cottage we’ve rented near Stratford Upon Avon. Me and Liam are going to have our own mini Christmas day as he’s been working away, which means more roasts, cheese boards, and lots of wine. Also we will have our own hot tub and open fire which I’m super excited about.. yay!
Yesterday was a beautiful sunny day, even though it’s currently now snowing in much of the UK. I thought I’d do a blog post of my outfit that I wore on Christmas Day, which included my beautiful new dress from Glamorous. We just stayed at home for Christmas; I got up late, had breakfast, opened pressies with the family, ate a big lunch and then just chilled out all evening. So although we didn’t do anything special it’s nice to dress up for a special family day!
This black poppy print dress features a lovely green, red, and blue pattern all over; so quite festive colours I thought. I hadn’t planned to wear this, I just saw it in my wardrobe and thought it would be ideal! The dress does have a plunging deep v neckline which I thought would be best covered up for Christmas day with the family! So I wore a plain black crop top underneath to cover up a bit, which I think worked quite well.
The fabric of the dress is very slinky and the dress isn’t lined so it’s quite thin, but not sheer. I don’t have many long sleeved dresses but I really like the sleeves on this dress; they have a little cuff with buttons on. Long sleeves means I don’t have to cover up with a frumpy cardigan too! I wore the dress with black tights and my Jones Nano black suede ankle boots which have a little heel on them. I also attempted some nail art which was a but of a fail really, but I used red glitter and white stripes which was meant to look like candy canes!
I hope you all had a Happy Christmas!
