Lumiere Cosmetics – Mineral Make Up Review.. ♥

The very kind people from Lumiere Cosmetics recently sent me seven wonderful personalised make up samples all the way from the U S of A. They specialise in mineral cosmetics that are formulated to simply enhance the finest features and assist with weaker areas. Whatever your skin type, Lumiere claim to provide naturally smooth and radiant skin. They have a large range of beauty and skincare products, and their make up comes in a huge range of colours and shades.
Here is what I received, seven little sample pots filled to the brim with mineral goodness:
2 Blushers: Terra Cotta & Wild Rose.
2 Foundations: Flawless & Cashmere in Medium Beige.
3 Eye Pigments: Mint Choc Chip, Champagne & Ember.

I used my Sigma blending brush to swatch these mineral cosmetics on my hand.

Here are the 2 foundation powder bases and the 2 blushers.
These are the swatches of the foundation bases. They are both medium beige coloured, but I think the textures are different as they are different formulas. It was difficult for me to find out the differences, but hidden in their website it states that the Flawless foundation is for normal/dry skin that leaves a matte, almost opaque base. The Cashmere foundation is suitable for all skin types, that leaves a soft silky feel, with a matte look. Both foundation powders were unexpectedly thicker than I thought they would be, and they provide excellent coverage. They are very smooth and matte and I love the way they blend in perfectly. They help to smooth out your complexion and give you a heathy glow.

These are the 2 swatches of the blusher powders. As you can see the Amber one is more orange toned and the Wild Rose is more pinky. I prefer pink toned blushers personally. However these blushers aren’t as heavily pigmented as I expected, but they still show up well and have a very smooth texture. These blushers come in over 40 colours! So there is a huge range to chose from.

These eye pigments are fantastic! I cannot even begin to count how many colour these come in. Lumiere eye pigments come in a wonderful variety of shades and textures to complement any eye colour and/or preference. The range is enormous! And I want them all! I am totally in love with the colours I was sent though. I don’t wear heavy colour on my eyes often so these neutral shades are perfect for me. You can wear each shade alone or mix and match to create a custom colour. And wow.. they are so pigmented, you only need the tinyest little bit on your brush and it goes such a long way. In my opinion these are 100% fab. They aren’t too ‘sparkly’ either. I love the mint choc chip colour.. gorgeous!
Overall, I thoroughly recommend Lumiere mineral cosmetics. They ship internationally (from $6), and each sample sized pot costs around £1.65-£2. I expect that these little pots will last me quite a while!
