So today I went for afternoon tea in Stratford-upon-Avon with my parents. We walked around the lovely old town, and peeked in all the shops which are now full of Christmas bits and bobs. We went for tea at the Grosvenor Hotel. The package included a selection of sandwiches (salmon, cheese, ham etc), a bunch of little cakes, scones with jam and cream, and then a chocolate fondue with fruit and marshmallows! Yum yum! As it was ‘tea for two’ I let my parents have that, and I had the most delicious steak baguette ever! It had thick pieces of meat, red onion and melted cheese. Mmm!
The town itself is so beautiful. The buildings are all old and so pretty. I’m not good with my history, but they’re from the ‘olden days’ haha. There is an antiques shop or tea room on every corner. It is so lovely there just to walk around. The shops all have a lovely vintage feel to them, and I spied many cupcakes and other goodies that I love. Take a visit sometime.
This post is very picture heavy! But I hope you enjoy the photos 🙂
