Huge Hotel Chocolat Hamper Prize + Easter Bakes.. ♥

I couldn’t help but show you all my giant Hotel Chocolat prize! I won a competition on Facebook with London City Airport to win a £50 Easter Bliss hamper. However Hotel Chocolat sent me the wrong thing, and actually sent me just 2 boxes of little eggs (worth £24). So, in the end the sent me another prize, but instead of the Easter hamper (as this was now after Easter) they sent me the Pamper Hamper.

I personally would have preferred the Easter Hamper as it came with more fun milk chocolate things, where as this is a bit ‘grown up’, but I think Hotel Chocolat were trying to make up for their error and thought this would be better as it was now after Easter. They also gave me a few little extras to apologise 🙂 Overall there is £100+ worth of chocolate here! So in the end I got twice as much choccy than the prize was initially!

Mega-yum! A lot of it is unfortunately dark chocolate (or funny flavours) but I will enjoy eating all the milky ones 🙂 Especially those egg and soldiers! Brilliant.

Also, my Mum is originally from Malta, and in her country it is traditional to make delicious iced almond biscuits for Easter. They are large and cut out in symbolic shapes such as butterflies, ducks, and mermaids. They are then beautifully decorated with icing and chocolate mini eggs, and given to friends and family as Easter gifts. So over Easter we made a batch, and I helped her. Here’s how they look.. and they taste delicious!
