With the £25 Selfridges gift card that I was sent by Whats in my Handbag, I decided to treat myself to something I wouldn’t usually buy. Of course, I chose the renowned Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Radiant Touch, which just so happened to be £25.
YSL Touche Eclat – 2.5 Luminus Vanilla
“Originally launched in 1992, Yves Saint Laurent’s Touche Éclat has obtained cult status. Touche Éclat captures the quintessence of Yves Saint Laurent’s philosophy of complexion: natural radiance. Used by make–up artists and models alike, it captures the light, banishing signs of fatigue and fading out imperfections. In just one click, this moisturising and ultra fluid emulsion helps eliminate shadows from the side of the nose, the corners of the mouth, the hollow of the chin and expression lines. It highlights the eye area, helping you appear rested and bright–eyed. Touche Éclat can also be applied to the lip contour to create fuller looking lips, or to the side of the nose to give your face a touch of radiance.” – Selfridges.
This fine 2.5ml golden pen apparently works like magic, so I was keen to try it out for myself. The YSL make up counter assistant talked through what it did, and applied it to me so that she could get the correct colour match.
The Touche Eclat comes in 10 shades, the colour she chose was the Luminous Vanilla (shade 2.5) which is quite a fair shade. I was very happy with my make up counter results, so happily handed over my £25 giftcard, and carried on my day around London.
The pen brush is excellent at disguising under eye shadows, and also any signs of tiredness around the nose and mouth area. You can apply it to your bare skin, or on top of make up. You can then blend it for an instantly radiant look. I found that it works especially well under the eyes, and also on any blemishes.
It also has an excellent use as a highlighter, as it can be used around the eyebrow arch and on cheek bones. The under-eye concealer reflects the light to give a very radiant look, which is perfect for when you’re a little tired. It’s so easy to apply too, so it would definately be useful being kept in your handbag for any after work touch ups.
It has a very sleek, creamy formula, which makes it very blendable. I like that you can use it on bare skin or over your foundation. Although this product has a high price tag, I also believe that it’s value for money as it should last quite a long time, as you only need to use a tiny amount at a time. It’s a luxurious product which I think everyone should have the chance of trying, and I think everyone would love it. I will definately be purchasing this in future and 100% recommend it.

I own this and I love it, a little bit really does go a long way so I think it will last ages. I got mine from Cheap Smells where I think it was a little cheaper x
You probably already know this because I haven't stopped talking about it since I started my blog pretty much – but I swear by this. Sometimes this is all the make up I will wear during the day. A few dabs under the eyes is just perfect. I recently bought 2 pens at once because there was a bit of an offer on before they introduced the multiple shades, I've only ever bought it when they just had the one shade. I'd be really interested to see what shade I'd need now they've introduced a range. I think I'm probably on my 6th or 7th stick of this stuff now in the last 4 or so years. Each one lasts me just under a year, although the lady at the counter told me they keep for about 6 months once opened. 🙂 I can't gush about this product enough! More than worth the money xxx
