I was recently offered a voucher to spend with a company called Printed.com, who do high quality printing on a wide range of products. I decided to spend my voucher on some new promotional material for my business, Victoria’s Vintage Cakes.
They allow you to print on loads of different items, from business cards to posters. I decided that as I already have some business cards and leaflets that I wanted to buy some stickers! I thought that these would be perfect for sticking on my cake boxes when customers collect their orders, or for handing out to kids at events (what kid doesn’t love a sticker?!). So I bought over 500 small square stickers and designed a little logo to go on them. In hindsight, I should probably use less pastel colours when it comes to printing as I find the colours don’t really stand out! However the quality of the stickers is great, and they look fab! I’ve already used them on a couple of orders that I had last week for cupcakes and they really add a personal touch.
I also decided to try out one of their banners! I was surprised by the low prices were for one of these as I imagined them to be really expensive. I designed another logo for the banner, and again I should have gone with bold colours. I chose the main writing to be in a baby pink which just didn’t show up bright enough, but I decided to put my craftyness to use and used a brighter pink nail polish to go over the writing to make it stand out more (surprisingly this worked really well!). I’m really pleased with it! I picked a long, rectangular banner to use on my table at events etc. I think it really stands out and is bound to get my table noticed! I decided to keep the banner simple and just have the name, slogan, and website address on it, along with a couple of little cupcake pictures. I used a mint green spotty background which I decided I really liked.
Overall I’m really impressed with the service provided by Printed.com as well as the high quality products. I really look forward to using the banner in public and to sealing my cake boxes with my lovely new personalised stickers!

These are lovely! Are you just online, or have you tried marketing at any fairs? Where do you buy your cake holders from? I find it hard to find any that aren't per-decorated and consequently expensive.
Thanks! xx

Oh! How lovely! 😀
I've got to think about making business cards soon and stuff, but unfortunately I need to sort my blogs out first. I love layouts far too much and spend far too much time messing around with them than blogging. I love my art 🙁 Which isn't useful. Because it means that I can't decide on a banner or anything :))
