Denim Challenge with F&F ♥

I was recently invited to take part in a denim challenge with F&F to celebrate the launch of their brand new denim collection. The challenge was to style 2 different fits of F&F jeans in 2 different ways. 2 looks for skinny jeans and 2 looks for boyfriend jeans. I decided to separate the two looks into ‘casual’ and ‘smart’.
I’m not one for wearing jeans, and you will struggle to find an OOTD of me wearing them. I’m more of a dresses or skirts girl because my thighs are quite chunky and jeans are often too tights for me to feel comfortable in. So I was looking forward to taking part in the challenge to try something new, but I was also a little nervous about taking photos in clothing I’m not used to wearing.
As well as the two pairs of jeans, I was also offered a £75 voucher to buy the rest of the outfit. At first I wasn’t sure £75 would go very far, but I actually managed to get loads because the F&F range is such good value and there was also a fab sale on! So here’s my denim outfits…
Boyfriend Jeans:
Smart

I wasn’t really sure if I would be able to ‘dress up’ boyfriend fit jeans, but because of my thick legs they weren’t actually very loose, and were nicely fitted. I decided to pick this black top with cute heart and polka dot print, which was only £7, but is no longer online. I wore it with simple black ballet pumps, also £7, and an envolope clutch bag from Chicwish. I like this look as I think it looks reasonably smart, and I really love the top, which I shall wear for work with midi skirts, it’s got a really nice shape to it.
Casual
I love this outfit more than I ever thought I would! I was struggling to decided what I could wear on my feet as part of the casual look, and then I stumbled upon these! These floral high top trainers were only £15 and I love the girly pattern on them, but aren’t too feminine or Barbie-ish. I like the muted colours and although I never ever wear trainers I think I might actually wear these! To go with the trainers as part of the casual look, I picked a neon pink knitted jumper which was in the sale for only £7 but is no longer available.
Skinny Jeans
Smart
For the smart look with the skinny jeans, I chose to wear a black lace peplum top which is in the sale for only £5. I decided to accessorise it with my pearl collar necklace, which I think gives the outfit a more glamorous look. The jeans are high waisted which I think it good because it hides a bloated tummy or flabby sides, and I think the dark denim is also flattering. I thought this outfit would look best with a pair of high heels, and these nude suede look stilettos were half price at only £11.

This is probably my least favourite outfit just because I feel really butch in a shirt and jeans. The shirt has a really cute swallow print though, which is in the sale for only £7. Again I wore the black suede flats, which are pretty much perfect for any outfit.
Which is your favourite look?

I think you did really well with all the looks. I also struggle with feeling a bit masculine in shirts, but the one you chose looked great on you!

Those trainers are totally not my usual type of thing (I'm def not a jeans girl either!) but they're cute!
I like your smart skinny-jean outfit best, you look super classy 🙂

    Hey Victoria,
I love the smart skinny jeans look! And those floral trainers are so cute, I might have to give trainers a go too!
I used to find it really difficult to find skinny jeans that would fit me (I'm a 12/14 hip but 8/10 waist) and wished I could rock the sassy skinny! I managed to find some great 'jeggings' in Dorothy Perkins and would definitely recommend them! As they're elasticated they don't leave any horrible button and zip marks if you're having a bloaty day! The styles are feminine, and I wear my light wash ones with a cute crochet top to bring back the vintage! Check them out! 😀
