Panelled Dress from French Connection ♥

It’s not often I get to wear a pretty dress, but I received this stunning new dress from French Connection just before Christmas. I was thinking of wearing it out on New Years Eve, but I decided it’s too smart to wear to a club, so I’m saving it up for a special occasion!

I wasn’t sure how well it would suit me when I picked it, because I’m a little bit ‘curvy’ and as it’s quite tight I was worried it would accentuate my lumps and bumps. But with a pair of ‘hold-in-all-my chub’ pants (and no bra) I think I manage to just about pull it off. I’m hoping to get a lot more fit and toned this year, so by the time I need to wear this I’ll be all nice and firm.

The dress has flattering black mesh panels on the sides, as well as on the shoulders. I love the raspberry pink colour of the dress, as it’s not a shade I would usually wear, but it’s bold and fun, and it matches my favourite new lipstick! It also comes in black, and it’s called the Viven Panelled Jersey Dress from French Connection, and it’s the perfect length for looking smart without looking frumpy.
