I’ve recently been asked to take part in a new competition ran by John Lewis Insurance called What Matters Most. They’re asking people to submit an image of a treasured possession or family heirloom via the website, and then in six words describe why it matters to them. The prize is £500 of John Lewis vouchers, and the competition runs from the 12th-25th of March (launching today!). You can also then share your entry on Twitter using the hashtag #whatmattersmost. If I won the competition I’d definitely be finally treating myself to a lovely new pastel coloured KitchenAid! Click here to enter!
So here’s my entry; this jewellery set was handed down to my Mum from her Grandmother when she grew up in Malta. It’s from the Victorian era, and it’s made from real gold, diamonds, and sapphires. The bracelet is especially beautiful, and I also really like the old style box the earrings come in. The six words to describe why it matters to me… the only family heirloom we have.

They are GORGEOUS! I'm not even sure if I have a family heirloom, but I love the stories behind them 🙂
